Jex Letter 2 February 01, 2009 Hey Jex I didn't realize that the thick envelopes weren't allowed. That sucks. :/ Are they going to give you the puzzle set later, or are they just throwing it away? I'll go ahead and mail them a few sheets at a time. What is teh restriction, anyway? No packages above a certain size? No entertainment items? I'm gonna go ahead and scan this letter and the previous one and post it to everyone, and post their replies in the next letter. As for Monsterpocalypse, I don't know if I can find specific gaming groups in the area, but if you register at privateerevents.com and search by zip code, you can find "Venues". If you give me a zip code or two, I can try to find stores that are likely to have Monsterpocalypse events. I see one place called "21st century comics & Games" in Easy Lansing that holds events, but I can't search by state, it was just in the list of sample things. The gas sounds pretty awful. At least it's over. I'm going to step up my mailing schedule to one letter a week if possible, since it looks like I'll be home each weekend. I'm going to package two puzzle sheets. Next week, I'll pack the solution sheet for those puzzles, then another sheet of puzzles. The week after, another puzzle sheet and the solutions, and so on. Hopefully these will be thin enough to not cause problems. I'm going to try to keep an eye out for those nonograms/picross things. If I don't see them next time I hit the school bookstore, I might take a look at Borders or something, or maybe just a visit to a supermarket. Of course, there's apparently a limit to how much I can send because of envelope thickness. Anything else in particular you might want sent that I should keep an eye out for or print out? Pictures of kittens? Bits of Choose Your Own Adventure books? Internet pornography? There's this old RPG/CYOA book series called Lone Wolf that's up online. It's pretty fascinating stuff, though sometimes pretty frustrating with the math. I can copy/paste bits of that into each letter. Tons of other CYOA books too, like the old Super Mario Bros. ones - Demota
