  highest on the written and physical test he presented to each of you]

  Future with a pair of Ben Franklin spectacles balanced on his nose]
[19:34:01] <Alt-Eisen> [In a chair behind Ken, is a fellow student, Kazuki Yotsuga, whom you've heard had been witness to 
  a multiple kidnapping in the previous week.  Unfortunately, the police have yet to release info on the kidnapping but 
  you know it was four girls he knew]
[19:35:22] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Ahem, if everyone is here, shall we get down to business?"
[19:36:18] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "I have assembled you all here because each of you have exhibited...ahem...special 
  attributes"

[19:37:00] * Echo had heard rumors about Professor Sanada, and quickly covered her breasts.

[19:37:25] * Natsumi is an athletic, slightly tanned-looking girl.
[19:37:59] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "I'm sure you're aware of the quadruple kidnapping of Kazuki's friends, correct?"

[19:38:38] * Natsumi looks to Echo and Kaori.
[19:39:48] * Kaori frowns. "I've heard rumors."
[19:40:41] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Well what you didn't hear is how Dee, Yayoi and the two Mitsukis were taken hostage 
  by my ex-wife who plans to use them in a plot to conquer the world!"
[19:41:08] <Alt-Eisen> <Kazuki> "Um, they're not going to believe that"
[19:41:20] * Echo is a young girl that wears long cover-alls with a fine waterfall of black hair that reaches down to her 
  shoulders. She looks rather skeptic about the professor and is covering her front like she's afraid professor Senada is 
  going to sexually assult her.
[19:41:32] * Kaori blinks slowly, and adjusts her glasses. "...excuse me?"
[19:41:37] <Natsumi> ... huh?
[19:41:44] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "But it is the truth" [adjusts his glasses]
[19:42:31] * Natsumi looks to the others. "Are we being punished for something?"
[19:42:43] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Maybe I'd better show you.  Bunny!  Come in here, if you would?"
[19:42:53] * Kaori glances over at Natsumi an shrugs slightly.
[19:43:31] <Alt-Eisen> [A small robot resembling a football with rabbit ears, and large hind feet, floats in through the 
  door]
[19:44:17] * Kaori is a thin girl slightly above average height, with chin-length black hair and freckles. For some reason 
  she's wearing a labcoat over her school uniform.
[19:44:51] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Greetings.  I am Interdimensional Exploratory Survey Robot XR701: Codename: Bunny.  
  Pleased to meet you!"
[19:45:18] * Kaori looks surprised to see the robot, and brightens slightly. "So, you were saying?"
[19:45:57] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Bunny, the holographic imager"
[19:47:12] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Yes, sir!" [his back opens and projects a holographic picture of a buxom woman in what 
  resembles a bikini with armored shoulders]
[19:48:24] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "This is Margarita Dozakudoza, interdimensional criminal.   She met up with my ex 
  about a week ago and assisted her in capturing the four girls"
[19:49:30] <Echo> ... She really looks evil. Isn't she cold?
[19:50:15] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Among her crimes is being an interdimensional arms dealer.  This being that she 
  sells weapons to various parties in other universes to create chaos and destruction for her own nefarious entertainment"
[19:51:37] <Kaori> What's she doing involved with kidnapping students, then? I don't see the connection?
[19:51:56] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "She also robs various universes of powerful artifacts.  In case you're wondering, 
  the artifact she stole from our universe is quite powerful and unknown to the general public.  However if she figured 
  out how to use it, my ex could use it to conquer the world"
[19:52:14] <Alt-Eisen> <Kazuki> "She took them to get at me"
[19:52:32] <Natsumi> I thought it was to take over the world... ?
[19:52:41] <Kaori> To...get at you? Why?
[19:53:00] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> [nods] "Right, Kazuki knows how to operate the artifact.  In fact he's the only one 
  on earth who can"
[19:54:08] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "BUT!!" [waves a finger] "The girls also share special quailities from being near 
  Kazuki.  She may have also taken them to figure out if she could use them in his place"
[19:55:14] <Kaori> So, blackmail, basically.
[19:55:27] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Anyways, I need you gals to help Kazuki and I to get the artifact and the girls back"
[19:55:41] <Natsumi> How's that supposed to work?
[19:55:55] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "You remember that test I made you take with the odd device we did earlier?"
[19:56:26] * Kaori narrows her eyes. "Yes."
[19:56:56] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "With my device I was secretly testing everyone in the school for interdimensional 
  explorer aptitude"

[19:57:19] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "And you scored the highest on the test!"
[19:57:41] <Kaori> You were _what_?
[19:57:42] <Natsumi> How... did we score the highest?
[19:57:52] <Natsumi> I mean, I AM pretty awesome.
[19:58:42] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [collapses the hologram back into his back]  "What the professor is trying to say in so 
  many words is we need you to come with us and help us find those girls"

  pilot the specially designed Core Robot mecha I have created for dealing with interdimensional threats"

  skills"
[20:01:29] * Kaori blinks. Twice. "Come again?"
[20:01:39] <Alt-Eisen> <Kazuki> [stands] "Please!  I beg of you!  I can't do this myself!"

[20:03:10] <Natsumi> Did you test this thing anywhere else, or just the school?
[20:03:18] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Bunny, maybe we should show them more?"
[20:03:28] * Kaori stares at Kazuki. "Hey, slow down here. I'm not even sure what I'm agreeing to or refusing yet."
[20:03:55] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Oh, just the school.  I assumed that people around Kazuki might be best"

[20:04:21] * Natsumi scratches her head. "I didn't really hang around him at all, though..."

[20:07:06] * Echo looks at Professor Sanada. "Well... if it was just the professor, I'd be afraid it's some kind of trick 
  for an old man who's trying to get his jollies on young girls, but since Kazuki's asking... I'm in."
[20:07:43] * Natsumi scratches her head. "What do you need us to do, exactly?"
[20:08:07] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Hey!  Come on!  Flying probe robot here!" [points at Bunny]

[20:08:36] * Kaori looks at Bunny again.

  be okay and resigned to secrecy"

[20:10:56] * Echo just looks away at Sanada with her nose up.

  metal boots]

[20:21:45] * Echo looks out the window... carefully?

[20:23:19] <Alt-Eisen> [Outside, approaching are a group of black onyx-colored impossibly skinny humanoid figures, 
  carrying some kind of rifle weapon.  They're marching towards the building]
[20:24:05] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "How many?"
[20:24:17] * Kaori stares, and pales. "Oh god. What IS that?"
[20:24:38] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I am detecting fifty Cabaloid robot troopers approaching our position"
[20:25:19] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Cabaloids!?!  Margarita's troops!  She's really pulling out the stops.  Everyone 
  ready to teleport now?"
[20:25:23] * Echo gazes at the figures approching and her eyes widen at Bunny saying that there's over 50 of them.
[20:25:56] <Alt-Eisen> <Kazuki> "This...isn't good"
[20:26:07] * Kaori nods silently, still staring at the soldiers.
[20:27:05] <Alt-Eisen> [Something strikes the door]
[20:27:13] <Alt-Eisen> [From the outside]
[20:27:47] * Natsumi looks at the door.
[20:27:48] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Beam us up, Bunny!"
[20:28:05] * Echo looks towards the door and says, "Ya... I don't know exactly what's happening, but I think it's a good 
  time to leave..."
[20:28:37] <Alt-Eisen> [The door is kicked open just as light envelopes the group.  You catch a Cabaloid bust into the 
  room, weapon drawn]
[20:29:02] <Alt-Eisen> [Next you know you're on the bridge of what looks like some kind of high tech warship]

[20:30:19] <Alt-Eisen> <Kazuki> [sighs and collapses into a crosslegged sitting position on the floor]
[20:30:21] * Kaori stares around in shock. "Oh my god. You were serious."
[20:31:20] * Echo just stares a bit before going up to Kazuki and asking, "So... this is..."
[20:31:41] <Alt-Eisen> [A woman with olive green hair in a military uniform turns from the captain's chair to face the 
  group]
[20:32:12] <Alt-Eisen> <Akane> "Ken!  What were you thinking, letting those things get so close!?!"
[20:32:29] <Alt-Eisen> <Kazuki> [nods]
[20:33:25] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Well they didn't believe me" [shrugs]
[20:33:49] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Anyways..." [gestures] "Welcome to the bridge of the Intrepid"
[20:34:00] <Kaori> W-well it was kind of a ridiculous story without proof!
[20:34:03] <Natsumi> That was serious?!
[20:35:14] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "We are currently floating above Earth if you want to look at the main screen" [gesturing 
  with a paw]
[20:35:40] * Echo glances at the woman before looking at where Bunny points to.
[20:36:18] <Alt-Eisen> [The ship is in fact, in orbit around Earth.  The blue world is in view as is the black of space]

[20:37:08] <Natsumi> Wait, so everything is true?
[20:37:36] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> [nods] "Everything is true.  Care to help us?"
[20:37:56] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "You've been invited on the adventure of a lifetime"
[20:38:01] * Kaori turns to look at the view screen, eyes slowly widening. "I've always wanted to see it from here..."
[20:38:24] * Echo just looks and looks and looks before shaking her head as to clear it. "I already said I will."
[20:39:16] <Alt-Eisen> <Akane Yamano> [from here to be known as Sub-Captain Yamano, sighs] "You're being too dramatic 
  again, Ken"
[20:39:47] * Kaori turns to look at the professor apprehensively. "Well...I'm still not sure what you're wanting us to do, 
  exactly."
[20:40:58] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> [takes the captain's chair from Yamano] "Bunny can show you about the ship if you 
  like.  Personally, I have to make sure we're underway for our first D-Jump"
[20:42:10] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "To put it simply.  You're aware of the American show, Star Trek, I hope"
[20:42:16] <Natsumi> Yeah...
[20:42:25] <Alt-Eisen> "You will be my Away Team"
[20:43:20] * Echo glances at Sanada and asks, "But... we're just high school students. You look more equiped to be part of 
  an 'away team' than us."

  you will go down to the planet and investigate for us"
[20:44:12] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Exactly!  Who would suspect highschoolers?"

[20:44:37] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Bunny will be with you anyways.  Trust me, this little robot will be a big help"

  the crew save for Kazuki cannot"

[20:46:36] * Echo also perks up at piloting robots. "Oh ya. You mentioned those before..."

  as this and they far outweigh that of adults.  Don't sweat it, Bunny can teleport you out of danger if things get hairy"

[20:48:37] * Echo glances back towards Kazuki and asks, "Did he? Really?"
[20:49:01] <Alt-Eisen> [And with that an old geezer with goggles on wearing work coveralls appears on the main screen]
[20:49:49] <Alt-Eisen> <Doc Sturm> "Capin!  We're ready for the D-Jump and heeeeeey are those girls!?!"

  decks up, right now"

[20:54:26] * Echo has this look that seems like she has no idea what's happening.
[20:56:31] <Alt-Eisen> <Doc Sturm> "AnyHOW..." [blows hot breath on the screen] "...we're ready to jump anytime yer don't 
  gabbing"
[20:57:00] <Kaori> S-so. You, uh, want us to...go to alternate dimensions and...pilot robots?
[20:57:25] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Yes"
[20:58:07] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Well not that simply.  You'll be investigating, searching for leads on the 
  kidnappers, such and such"

  most of the time"

  than Professor Sanada."

[21:02:12] <Alt-Eisen> [Meanwhile Doctor Sturm is picking his ear while he waits]
[21:02:38] * Kaori looks away from the viewscreen in disgust.
[21:03:23] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Eheheheh... We can take the lift to the hangar, if you want"

  on foot"

[21:06:27] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Teleporting takes power from the ship.  I'd rather not waste too much power on arbitrary 
  teleports"

[21:07:22] * Kaori nods. "That sounds reasonable."
[21:09:00] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "We could go to the cafeteria and I could show you a holographic data readout on the robots 
  over a late dinner"
[21:09:19] <Natsumi> So what's happening with those robots down below?
[21:09:50] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "They're currently undergoing preparation maintenance"
[21:10:19] * Echo asks, "Preparation? They're not completed yet?"
[21:11:02] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "No, I mean they're being cleaned and made ready to launch"
[21:11:23] <Natsumi> I meant the ones with guns that broke open the door
[21:11:48] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Ohhhh.  They left when we teleported"
[21:12:09] <Kaori> They just...gave up?
[21:12:33] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Cabaloids have objective-based AIs.  When they cannot achieve an objective, they go back 
  to base for more orders"
[21:12:42] <Echo> Huh. Interesting.
[21:13:03] <Natsumi> I guess that's good to know.
[21:13:05] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Just between you and me, Cabaloids aren't very smart as robots"
[21:13:40] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "They're no smarter than Star Wars Clone Wars battle droids, if you get my drift"
[21:14:47] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I apoligize for the nerd reference.  You'll get this occasionally on this ship as everyone 
  knows Professor Sanada in some way"
[21:15:05] <Echo> They see 1 and they go to one even if they walk into a pit-trap along the way?
[21:15:17] <Kaori> ...they suddenly seem a lot less menacing.
[21:16:00] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "The Doc says they can fight as mercilessly as Terminators when given proper commands to do 
  so"
[21:17:09] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "But, Cabaloids are considered budget war robots by standards of the other worlds we've 
  visited"

[21:18:38] <Natsumi> So... five minutes from when we lifted off, our future selves are gonna show up?

[21:33:21] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "We have Earth Prime locked into the computer, so yes"
[21:33:30] * Natsumi nods...
[21:33:50] * Kaori gulps. "Let's...make the jump, then."
[21:34:24] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [opens a hatch in his back to reveal a big shiny red button]  "I'm linked to the master 
  controls.  The bridge wants you to make the decision"
[21:35:22] * Kaori walks over to Bunny and looks at the button for a moment, muttering something under her breath, and 
  then pushes it.
[21:35:34] * Echo looks at the others and nods. "Oh, by the way, why DO we need robots for anyways?"
[21:35:59] <Alt-Eisen> [There is a bright white flash, then the light subsides and it's as if nothing happened]
[21:36:26] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "That's it.  We're over a new Earth now"
[21:36:57] * Natsumi looks through the window.
[21:37:44] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada><Intercom> "Away Team, please report to the bridge for briefing"
[21:38:10] * Kaori looks out at the new earth, trying to see if it's noticeably different.
[21:38:19] <Alt-Eisen> [Not really]
[21:38:37] <Natsumi> Is that us?
[21:38:47] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Yep!"
[21:39:01] <Natsumi> Umm... where' sthe bridge?
[21:39:09] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Follow me"
[21:39:22] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [hops down a hallway to the lift]
[21:39:29] * Echo just follows along, completely forgetting her question.
[21:40:07] * Natsumi follows
[21:40:19] * Kaori follows Bunny, taking in the sights of the spaceship.
[21:40:37] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [takes the three to the bridge]
[21:41:14] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> [turns from his captain chair as they enter the bridge] "Enjoy the D-Jump?"
[21:41:53] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Welcome to 1993 Earth!"
[21:42:10] <Kaori> Well, I guess so. Nothing much seemed to happen.
[21:42:25] <Natsumi> 1993?
[21:42:31] <Kaori> ...1993? Wait, are we in a parallel universe or did we time travel?
[21:42:41] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Parallel"
[21:43:09] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Time travels differently in other universes.  Sometimes its slower slightly, 
  sometimes its faster"
[21:43:44] <Echo> "Ohh... so that's why you could do silly things with how long we'll be gone."
[21:43:58] * Natsumi frowns.
[21:44:06] <Natsumi> I hope we don't end up getting too much older.
[21:44:16] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "The Earth below is very similar to ours right down to the sports scores"
[21:44:18] * Kaori nods. "Interesting...wait, so what happens to us if we're at this for a long time? Like-what she said."
[21:44:41] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "I haven't experimented with that actually"
[21:45:53] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "What's even funnier is that we're picking up Margarita's last known signature in Tokyo"
[21:46:21] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "So really from your Earth to this one, you've only traveled a few miles"
[21:47:11] <Kaori> So...other than being an earlier time period, what's this earth like?
[21:47:22] * Echo nods in thought.
[21:48:05] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Oh yeah, before you leave, you'll have to turn in anything that was made after 
  1993AD to avoid cultural contamination.  We're like good campers here.  We leave the planet mostly how we found it"
[21:48:14] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Mostly...."
[21:49:11] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Atmosphere, gravity, pollution levels, all are similar to our Earth"
[21:49:37] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "This might end up as a training exercise for more dangerous things to come"
[21:49:49] <Natsumi> I guess that's good. So... it's just earlier here, and that's about it?
[21:49:51] * Echo looks at herself. "Ummm... so... Isn't that everything? I don't think I have anything that was made 
  before 1993."
[21:50:27] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "We'll provide clothes and things for the time period if you need them"
[21:51:43] <Kaori> Well, I suppose that makes sense. So what's the plan, exactly?
[21:52:21] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "You go down to Tokyo and locate Margarita's hideout.  Then figure out what she's 
  doing down there"
[21:53:49] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "I'll back you up from up here using Bunny as a go-between"
[21:54:16] <Echo> "Umm... ok... But how are we supposed to locate her hideout?"
[21:54:19] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Someone will need to carry me in a backpack"
[21:54:46] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I have a sensor device that tracks interdimensional irregularities"
[21:54:57] <Kaori> So...just us and the Haro? I don't know about this.
[21:55:07] <Kaori> Er, sorry Bunny, no offense intended.

[21:55:30] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Haro genki!  Haro genki!  Seriously, what do you take me for?"
[21:56:28] * Kaori looks embarassed. She mumbles "I _like_ Haros" quietly.
[21:57:00] * Echo giggles again. "I'll do it. Just find a backpack that Bunny can fit in and I'll carry her."

[21:58:19] <Natsumi> Aw, man. This means we cna't take our cel phones, right?

[22:00:43] * Natsumi checks her belongings to figure out what needs to be dumped

[22:05:30] * Kaori mumbles "Can I at least get a gameboy to bring along or something?"

[22:08:21] <Kaori> ...we're not allowed to take stuff from this earth back home, are we.

[22:09:07] <Natsumi> Oh, cool.
[22:09:16] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "It won't hurt anything to take a few small trinkets"
[22:10:32] * Natsumi separates her post-1990s gear.
[22:10:48] * Kaori brightens slightly. "Well, I guess that's an acceptable compromise."
[22:11:20] * Echo just shrugs. "Well, anything you can tell us about what we should expect? And should we just tell you 
  when we find her hideout or do you want us to investigate too?"
[22:12:29] <Alt-Eisen> <Prof Sanada> "Don't put yourselves in uneeded danger.  Just find her and try to figure out where 
  she hid the girls"
[22:13:22] <Kaori> Don't worry, I'm not gonna go looking for trouble, for sure.

[22:17:52] <Kaori> So, how long until we go down?

[22:26:01] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "No matter what disguise she takes, she can't disguise her distinct laugh"
[22:26:22] <Kaori> ...what if she just keeps her mouth shut?

[22:27:03] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "She and her cronies stand out like sore thumbs using the D-Scanner"
[22:27:48] <Kaori> D-scanner? So, it tracks energy left over from dimensional transport? Something like that?
[22:28:52] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Actually every universe has its own energy aura like a fingerprint.  When something is out 
  of place, it gives off an invisible time/space distortion.  The D-Scanner tracks those distortions"
[22:29:15] <Natsumi> Huh.
[22:29:25] <Natsumi> So we can find out if someons' from another universe, and even what universe they're from?
[22:29:37] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Unfortunately, there are some things even in the same universe that give off time/space 
  distortions"
[22:30:11] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "So in a nutshell, my sensors tell when something is out of place in the natural order of 
  things"
[22:32:19] <Kaori> That's really interesting. I'd definitely like to read up on this when we have some time.
[22:33:09] <Natsumi> So... we find her and then we punch her, right?
[22:33:09] <Echo> "I'm actually more interested in how they make such a device..."
[22:33:51] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Something like that"
[22:34:20] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Like I explained, Professor Sanada has been studying this for a while now"
[22:35:04] * Kaori sighs. "Man, this is another entire field of study. I've got a lot to learn."
[22:36:24] * Echo just nods, but she looks rather excited.
[22:39:02] * Echo asks, "Anyways, where do we get the replacement stuff?"
[22:39:16] * Kaori nods. "I guess we should get ready."
[22:39:30] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "We have a ready room"
[22:39:47] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [hops to the lift]
[22:41:50] * Kaori follows Bunny. "I do want to see the robots when we get back, though."
[22:42:07] * Echo follows behind. "Ya, me too."
