[18:18:26] * Natsumi stands around, looking a little anxious. She bounces from foot to foot.
[18:19:07] * Echo just looks around, having sort of wrapped her head around all this already, but still expecting surprises.
[18:19:31] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [floats about the ready room, which resembles a large walk-in closet full of items and clothes]
[18:20:54] * Kaori looks around, trying to find the most generic and inobtrusive clothes possible.
[18:21:25] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Hmmm..."
[18:21:42] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [Raises an ear]
[18:22:17] <Natsumi> So what do they dress like down there? This is an alternate earth, right?
[18:22:22] <Natsumi> So does everyone wear a hat or something?
[18:23:07] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Everyone dresses like they did in 1993, Japan.  Not too difficult.  I'm starting to wonder just what makes this Earth special"
[18:23:45] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Although...  It's probably nothing"
[18:24:15] <Natsumi> Yeah, we'll probably end up on boring places like "Earth where every coin flip was reversed"
[18:25:31] * Echo comments, "But a lot of things could be different because of a coin flip..."
[18:25:32] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "The ship's long range sensors detected something entering the solar system.  A small object, probably too small to be a spaceship]
[18:25:39] * Natsumi looks around fomr some cool clothes.
[18:25:50] <Natsumi> Hey, is it warm down there right now?
[18:26:06] * Kaori shrugs. "Well, if you've got to hide, hiding in a universe with nothing special about it seems like a good way to fly under the radar."
[18:26:46] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "The climate seems temperate and of average temperature for this time of year"
[18:27:03] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Though it is night so it may be a bit nippy"
[18:27:05] <Natsumi> Well, we traveled in time, sort of... right? What IS the time of year?
[18:27:23] <Natsumi> I guess it's all relative, though. Like... our world might be "THE LAND WHERE ROME FELL"
[18:28:24] <Kaori> Well, as long as we don't end up on some earth with bizarre laws or different laws of physics, I'm sure it'll be okay.
[18:28:41] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "It's about late march.  The chrono scans don't know the exact date"
[18:29:41] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Hmmmm..." [seems slightly antsy...for being a robot]
[18:30:13] * Natsumi finds some warmish clothes.
[18:30:22] <Kaori> What's wrong? Should the scans be giving an exact date?
[18:30:28] <Natsumi> Bizarre laws like waht?
[18:30:50] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "No, it's just that object I mentioned.  It seems to be headed for Earth"
[18:31:06] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Probably a meteorite"
[18:31:15] <Kaori> ...how big?
[18:31:15] <Natsumi> I hope this isn't "The world where human civilization ends in 1993"...
[18:31:25] <Natsumi> ARe you serious?
[18:31:26] <Natsumi> Can we do anything about it?
[18:31:35] <Natsumi> ... can THEY do anything about it?
[18:32:00] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Well I could ask the ship to try to shoot it down but it seems like a it might just burn up in the atmosphere"
[18:32:31] * Echo comments, "It's better to just leave it if it'll burn up. Don't want anyone finding us up here."
[18:33:34] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [nods] "Professor Sanada wouldn't drop us on a planet that's going to blow up in a few minutes.  That would be rude"
[18:33:42] <Kaori> Yeah. And if we're trying not to pollute alternate dimensions or anything, it's probably for the best to leave it.
[18:35:44] * Echo shrugs. "In theory, just us being here would "pollute" things." She said, making little quotes above her head.
[18:37:37] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Are you all prepared?"
[18:37:42] <Natsumi> Totally!
[18:37:44] * Echo nods
[18:37:55] <Kaori> I guess so.
[18:38:21] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Okay, next up, the main transporter room" [hovers off down the hall]
[18:39:28] * Kaori gets changed and follows Bunny.
[18:39:29] * Echo mutters, "Main transporter room? What's the difference..." However, she does follow behind.
[18:39:30] * Natsumi follows
[18:40:21] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [takes them to a large empty room with a big circle on the floor.  He lands and hops to the center of the circle]
[18:40:37] * Natsumi follows Bunny to the circle. "So how's this work?"
[18:42:06] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "This spot is set up below the main matter relocator device in the ceiling.  While we could send you from any point on the ship, this room can do it with the most efficient use of power"
[18:42:25] <Echo> Ohhhhhhh.
[18:43:05] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Now whose got the backpack for me to hide in?"
[18:43:35] * Echo raises her hand. "Mine!"
[18:44:40] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Okay" [floats over to her]
[18:45:16] * Echo opens the backpack she requested earlier and lets Bunny fit itself in.
[18:45:46] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [goes inside] "Now stand in the circle and we can transit"
[18:46:55] <Natsumi> Alright
[18:46:58] * Natsumi stands in the circle
[18:47:26] * Kaori nods and enters the circle. "Beam us down."
[18:47:34] * Echo timidly steps into the circle. "Oh man... don't say that."
[18:48:10] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "And down we go!"
[18:48:23] <Kaori> Look, nobody's wearing a red shirt, we'll be fine.
[18:48:47] <Alt-Eisen> [there is a bright flash of white and the group is now standing in an alley in Juuban, Tokyo]
[18:49:20] * Natsumi looks around. Any witnesses?
[18:49:31] <Alt-Eisen> [nope]
[18:49:52] * Echo asks Bunny, "Where's this?"
[18:49:53] <Natsumi> So what now, usagi?
[18:49:58] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Eep!"
[18:50:29] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "J-juuban district of Tokyo.  What the heck is that!?!"
[18:50:58] <Kaori> Huh? What, where were we supposed to go?
[18:51:01] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [raises a rotating radar dish out of Echo's backpack]
[18:52:03] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Here, but....well the energy spike from orbit is alot stronger feeling now that we're sitting in it"
[18:52:35] * Natsumi frowns
[18:52:53] <Alt-Eisen> [Suddenly, a bright light passes overhead]
[18:53:01] * Kaori looks up, shielding her eyes.
[18:53:24] * Echo is busy looking at Bunny and trying to figure out where that radar dish is coming from that she doesn't look up.
[18:53:26] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "And that would be the thing the ship detected"
[18:53:53] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [It's coming out of hatch in his back]
[18:54:42] <Alt-Eisen> [KABLAM!!  It strikes the ground a few blocks away near an apartment complex]
[18:55:44] * Kaori takes off in the direction of the crash.
[18:56:05] * Echo jumps at the sound, now looking up. "Oh my god! Didn't you say it would burn up at entry?"
[18:56:30] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I did say that, didn't I?  Ehehehehe..."
[18:56:55] * Echo puts the backpack back on her back and follows behind Kaori.
[18:56:56] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "This doesn't bode well"
[18:57:03] <Natsumi> ..WHat the hell?
[18:58:04] <Kaori> Hurry up! It's not every day you get to see something like this up close! Or ever!
[18:58:20] * Natsumi tries to look for it
[18:58:36] <Alt-Eisen> [When they reach the crash site, they see a crater and a pulsing green light]
[18:59:01] * Echo is heaving tiredly when they get there, and is trying to catch her breath.
[19:00:33] <Alt-Eisen> [The "meteor" looks almost organic.  It pulses slightly like a beating heart as it gives off an eerie green glow]
[19:00:46] * Kaori hangs back at the edge of the crater. "Wow...I hope this isn't radioactive."
[19:01:00] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [is giving off Giger Counter noises]
[19:01:26] * Echo finally catches her breath and glances down. "Maybe it's aliiiiive." She says with a spooky voice.
[19:02:48] <Alt-Eisen> [Suddenly there is a flash and the meteor rises off the ground and dematerializes into thin air]
[19:02:56] <Natsumi> What the heck just happened?
[19:03:15] * Kaori blinks. "I...don't think this world is as normal as we thought."
[19:03:20] <Alt-Eisen> [...leaving behind the crater where it was seconds before]
[19:03:27] <Kaori> Can you track it, Bunny?
[19:03:39] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I can try"
[19:04:15] * Natsumi looks at the crater.
[19:04:46] * Echo suggests, "Why don't you do it anways? I think we'd want to keep track of that anyways."
[19:05:08] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Judging from residual energy traces....ooop" [goes quiet as he notices some people showing up from the surrounding neighborhood]
[19:05:46] <Alt-Eisen> <Man> "What happened here?"
[19:06:01] <Natsumi> I-I didn't do it!
[19:06:02] * Echo moves the backpack in front of her to hide Bunny from people looking, but whispers, "Just keep tracking it but keep quiet."
[19:06:17] * Echo looks at Natsumi weirdly at that response.
[19:06:46] <Alt-Eisen> [A small crowd gathers around the crater]
[19:07:09] * Kaori freezes up. "Ah...uh...uh..."
[19:08:25] * Echo looks at the people coming around and says to the man who talked to Natsumi, "Well, I saw this bright flash in the sky and came over here when I heard something."
[19:09:17] <Alt-Eisen> [A news van pulls up] <Reporter> "We are here at Juuban, Tokyo, where apparently a meteorite has just hit the parking lot across from the Juuban Odyssey apartment building..."
[19:11:17] <Alt-Eisen> <Reporter> "What did you see, young lady?" [puts the mic in Echo's face]
[19:12:17] * Echo shook her head and said, "Like, a boom and a wham and then this big hole!" She uses her free arm to mimic the meteor falling and crashing.
[19:12:29] <Echo> "Hi mom!" She adds.
[19:13:09] <Alt-Eisen> <Reporter> "Thank you for that lovely commentary" [goes to another person to ask more questions]
[19:14:26] * Echo stops breathing for a second, making sure she's not on camera anymore, then sighs in relief and quickly gets out of the crowd.
[19:14:36] * Natsumi quickly follows suit. "That was bad."
[19:15:25] * Echo leans up against a wall once outside of the crowd and slowly sides down. "ohmygodIwassoscared."
[19:15:41] <Natsumi> Y-yeah. @_@
[19:15:50] * Kaori slinks back into the crowd after Echo and Natsumi. "We gotta get out of here."
[19:16:27] <Natsumi> Defintiely... but... hey. Let's go to a karaoke club.
[19:16:37] <Kaori> ...w-what? Why?
[19:17:29] * Echo blinks. "Ya, why?"
[19:17:35] <Natsumi> Private, soundproof, cheap snacks.
[19:18:21] <Kaori> ...that's a good idea, actually.
[19:18:42] * Echo blinks. "Wow. Never thought of that..."
[19:18:43] <Natsumi> Right. Let's see... I know a few around.
[19:18:56] <Natsumi> There's this GREAT one that just opened up... shoot. 
[19:19:05] <Natsumi> Oh well. There's this one that's been around like, forever.
[19:19:31] <Natsumi> K Institute.
[19:20:28] <Natsumi> Come on, follow me.
[19:20:43] * Natsumi starts heading to the karaoke club, hoping it's been built already.
[19:20:59] * Kaori follows Natsumi. "You're the boss."
[19:21:27] * Natsumi smiles.
[19:21:30] <Alt-Eisen> [Lucky for Natsumi it has and its half empty due to half the patrons off checking out the crater]
[19:22:06] * Natsumi waves to a register. "Hi. I'd like to rent out a room."
[19:22:11] * Echo looks around while they're heading there, trying to figure out the differences and similarities.
[19:23:06] <Alt-Eisen> <Shopkeeper> "Sure, that'll be <whatever the charge for rooms>"
[19:23:34] * Natsumi nods. Pretty soon, she heads over to one of the nice soundproofed rooms and heads in.
[19:24:40] * Natsumi closes the door behind her after everyone's in. "So!"
[19:24:44] <Natsumi> Nice and private.
[19:24:50] <Natsumi> Bunny, you with us?
[19:25:01] <Alt-Eisen> "Yes"
[19:25:22] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Yes"
[19:25:35] <Alt-Eisen> [scratch me saying that]
[19:25:38] * Kaori flops down in a seat and lets out a long sigh. "Well, what now?"
[19:26:04] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "We could check out the play list" [lifting the cards with his paws]
[19:26:07] * Natsumi flips on a nice song and turns the volume down, and starts looking over the snacks menu.
[19:26:38] <Natsumi> So... we gotta look for that lady. And then there's that meteor that fell down then vanished.
[19:26:59] * Echo taps Bunny's head. "No, tell us if you managed to track that ball of light first."
[19:27:09] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I can't help but think the two might be related"
[19:27:32] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "It buzzed up into the Juuban Odyssey Apartment complex"
[19:28:08] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Unfortunately, I read the place as private property"
[19:28:22] * Kaori absent-mindedly looks over the track list. "Maybe we should go back. The situation's changed a little bit with that crazy meteor."
[19:29:40] <Natsumi> Do we have any... spy gear or something?
[19:29:40] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Based on Margarita's bio, she's a collector of priceless dimensional artifacts.   If we stake out the place, she might come looking for the meteor itself"
[19:29:54] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [poses]
[19:29:54] * Natsumi nods
[19:29:57] <Natsumi> And that's when we punch her.
[19:31:48] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Capture her!  Capture capture!"
[19:32:04] * Echo nods absently. "Well, only if she's in the area... or would she had left something or someone to keep watch?"
[19:32:06] <Natsumi> We can do both.
[19:33:05] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Well not to make you all paranoid but a marked Cabaloid function is the ability to holographically camoflage itself to look like a normal person"
[19:33:55] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "We did track her to this district of Tokyo"
[19:34:14] * Natsumi nods
[19:34:27] <Kaori> Wait, I thought we were just supposed to FIND her? How're we supposed to actually capture someone like that?
[19:34:30] <Natsumi> So... we stake it out, then you let us know about if you see....
[19:34:33] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "She's pretty sneaky hiding here.  There is a marked variety of power fluxes flowing around"
[19:34:38] <Natsumi> Wait, so how do the Cabaloids do that?
[19:35:12] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I can expose them if they get into range of my holoscrambler though"
[19:35:51] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Find then capture.  The ship will send help to capture her"
[19:36:28] * Natsumi nods
[19:36:39] <Kaori> Well, as long as you're not expecting us to be the ones to grab her, I guess that's okay...
[19:37:11] <Natsumi> So... what do you need us for again?
[19:37:13] * Echo nods as well. "Ya... unless you got stuff like those phasers from Star Trek."
[19:37:31] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "I have a stunner"
[19:38:25] <Natsumi> I got an idea if those Cabaloids try to mess with us.
[19:38:31] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "To help me search.  I certainly can't go hopping around in the open with how I look"
[19:38:33] <Natsumi> Anyway, you ready to take us out to the apartment?
[19:38:48] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Okay"
[19:39:09] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> [climbs back into Echo's backpack]
[19:39:10] <Natsumi> What about the rest of you? You ready?
[19:39:35] * Kaori sighs. "Ready as I'll ever be."
[19:40:56] * Echo nods. "Well, time's a wasting."
[19:41:00] <Natsumi> Let's go.
[19:42:01] * Kaori gets up. "Fine, let's do this."
[19:43:46] * Natsumi heads out there
[19:44:42] <Alt-Eisen> [The crowd has since dispersed and some police and construction workers are taping off the crater]
[19:46:29] * Kaori looks up at the apartment building. She whispers to Bunny "So, is it still there?"
[19:46:50] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Yes it is"
[19:47:48] <Alt-Eisen> <Bunny> "Top floor"
[19:48:21] <Natsumi> That'll be harder to keep an eye on... 
[19:48:34] * Natsumi looks for any nearby buildings that might have a good view of the top floor
[19:48:40] * Echo says, "Is there anywhere we can get a good look at what's happening there? You said this building was private property..."
[19:49:12] <Kaori> So we've got an alien lifeform holed up in a specific apartment building for some reason. I wonder what's up there, or if it was just convenient.
[19:49:22] <Alt-Eisen> [There is another apartment building across from the parking lot]
[19:52:29] <Alt-Eisen> [A shadow leaps from the top of the Odyssey apartments to a nearby building, unseen by the police]
[19:52:31] <Natsumi> So what's the plan... we just... wait down here, if we can't find a convenient higher spot?
[19:52:45] <Kaori> Did...did you guys just see that?
[19:53:09] * Echo asks Kaori, "See what?"
[19:53:39] <Kaori> I thought I saw something moving up there, on top of the building.
[19:53:42] <Natsumi> ... yeah. 
[19:53:47] * Natsumi frowns
[19:54:07] * Natsumi looks for an investigation route
[19:54:36] <Alt-Eisen> [There is a "conviniently placed" fire escape up to the top of said building]
[19:55:11] <Natsumi> Let's go!
[19:55:14] * Natsumi rushes for it!
[19:55:37] * Echo just slowly follows. "Geez... climbing..."
[19:56:30] <Kaori> W-wait, there's still cops around here...
[19:56:49] <Natsumi> And they're looking at a crater!
[19:56:56] * Natsumi grins.
[19:57:45] <Kaori> ...fine, but if they catch us, I'm blaming everything on you.
[19:57:51] * Kaori grumbles and follows Natsumi.
[20:00:03] <Alt-Eisen> [When they get to the top, they see an open roof access door and a shadow passing inside]
[20:01:34] * Echo glances at Natsumi. "Uh... don't even think of following in."
[20:01:36] * Kaori gulps. "We're about to make first contact...and probably get eaten in the process."
[20:01:46] <Natsumi> What/ Why not?
[20:02:25] * Echo says, "Unless Rabbit has a built in weapon, I'm not about to run into those robots again."
[20:02:33] <Alt-Eisen> [You hear a scream from the other side of the door]
[20:02:55] * Natsumi runs after it.
[20:03:14] <Natsumi> I got a good strong kicking leg! That's all I need to take one down!
[20:03:20] <Kaori> Aw dammit all. Natsumi, wait!
[20:03:23] * Kaori runs after her.
[20:03:31] * Echo bites down a curse and tries to grab Natsumi back. Failing, of course, due to her weakened legs.
[20:04:13] <Alt-Eisen> [You enter the dark hallway and see at the other end the shadow hunched over a young woman.  The shadow looks up at you]
[20:04:31] <Alt-Eisen> <Shadow> "VAMPIR!!"
