Session Start: Fri Jan 12 17:56:55 2007 Session Ident: #Aeoth [17:56:55] * Now talking in #Aeoth [17:56:55] * Topic is 'So a Cleric, a Wizard, a Fighter, and a Thief walk into a bar...' [17:56:55] * Set by Zegon on Fri Jan 12 17:42:34 [17:57:00] * Hank (chamelaeon@ip68-229-190-130.om.om.cox.net) has joined #aeoth [17:57:00] * Robin is now known as Kardos [17:57:22] * Kardos is ready to pwn people in an obsequiously polite manner. [17:57:48] * Clarissa is ready to cut loose. Footloose. [17:58:00] * Clarissa is walkin' on sunshine! [17:59:04] Hank is sipping on gin and juice. [17:59:13] With his mind on his gold and his gold on his mind. [17:59:26] Wow. That was quick. [17:59:31] http://submarine.sandwich.net/art/Posters/ActionHankPoster.jpg [17:59:36] It's almost like you guys expect me to run every week now. ZOMG [17:59:52] ND: Bump, signed, and quoted for truth. [18:00:22] Hank has a beard on both sides. [18:06:51] Waiting for CCD to get here. Other than that, I think I'm ready once I remember what day the game was on. [18:07:04] Sometime early August, right? [18:07:21] huh/ [18:07:43] August 4, plus travel time since last session. [18:07:49] er, during last session, rather [18:07:53] which you didn't tell me [18:08:01] ooh [18:08:05] We need logs and such. D: [18:10:02] Ah, which means I can make it up. [18:10:20] Right, so, it's Sunday, August 15th. [18:12:13] Holy shit! It's August and I still haven't paid for my classes! o_o [18:12:22] * Kardos scrambles for his checkbook. [18:39:41] >.> [18:39:42] <.< [18:41:55] * Zegon changes topic to ' We invented the internet, motherfuckers. Here, have some!' [18:42:30] Okay, so... [18:42:34] CCD's not here. [18:42:57] I'm gonna start, he's really freakin' late. c.c [18:43:16] You guys fine running without a crankycleric? [18:43:38] Can we NPC him? [18:43:58] Eh. *shrugs* [18:44:05] Depends on what you guys end up doing. [18:44:10] [Warning, incoming game!] [18:48:25] [Day: Sunday, August 15th. Our adventurers are heading to the wild forests of Molap, which is really just a bunch of letters I threw together but hey, it's a name! After that they hope to be on track to head north to investigate Kardos's sword's history. But first, there's the city of Oriel in their way! How long you should stay is up to debate, but at least you should stay a day to rest and re-supply.] [18:50:13] [It's about midday when you reach the city, which is multi-ringed in terms of crumbled and old walls. A huge trading capital, some extremely large ships (Obviously of Isen design) are in dock, and people are pretty frequently leaving and entering the city from its many entrances and exits. It's well known that the city was originally built by dwarves and humans, but how old it truly is is a mystery.] [18:50:17] [Session start!] [18:51:29] * Lucy looks around, fascinated. Especially by the sea. Don't get to see too much of that around home. [18:51:52] [The sea is a great big blue wet thing.] [18:52:53] Right. No point in sticking around for long. [18:53:03] [The port is in the northern part of the town, and the city is actually built on a concave element of the coast, making for a secure place for ships to stay to weather a storm.] [18:53:25] * Clarissa looks around for a street urchin who looks like he could use some money and a good meal. [18:54:30] * Kardos gawks as only someone rural beyond bumpinism is capable of. [18:56:15] [Approaching the city it becomes pretty clear the populace is generally well off. Even so, there's the odd 'beggar' (Who are probably people who just wait for handouts and live fairly comfortably in reality) at the street corner with a coin cup. Fairly common, even moreso than the beggars, are street performers, of the magical, musical, comic, and tumbling kind.] [18:57:12] * Clarissa frowns. [18:58:06] [Entering the city there are several rules posted, of which include a minimum income level to live there. This probably explains the 'upper-classmanshipness' of the city. Those that don't make that much probably look enough like they do to not attract attention.] [19:01:20] Wonderful. [19:01:29] * Kardos listens to some of the comics, and does not get their jokes. [19:01:32] We need a decent guide, or a map, or something to that effect. [19:01:57] * A passing performer spies the adventurers and walks over, smiling. "Is there anything I can do you for? You look lost." [19:03:00] Not lost so much as temporarily misplaced. [19:03:37] Huh? What're you looking for? [19:04:32] * Hank looks to Clarissa. [19:04:34] The local Arcane Order branch, the main marketplace, the master of the Port. [19:05:41] What the young lady said. [19:06:14] Yeah, that sounds about right. And maybe a decent food reccomendation [19:09:58] Hmmm. Arcane Order branch... You'll want to ask Cali over there. *points at a magician who's currently entertaining the audience with an illusionary showing of The Dragon's Maw, probably a local story.* The marketplace is the entire city, but clearly if you want exotics you should check by the pier, and if you want locals you want by the main roads. Like this one. [19:10:50] * Hank rubs at his beard. [19:11:22] ot it. [19:11:32] Thank you. [19:11:34] And the master of the port is down by the harbor. Walk down the row of ships, you'll find the office eventually. It's impossable to miss. [19:11:56] * Kardos blinks at the show and promptly walks over to watch. [19:13:42] * Clarissa nods. "That makes sense. Thank you." [19:13:55] * Clarissa turns and calls out, "Kardos, we're going." [19:14:06] Maybe next time, alright? [19:14:07] Yes, of course. [19:14:11] * Clarissa heads generally in the direction of the docks. [19:14:20] * Hank nods to the performer. "Thanks for setting us straight." [19:14:24] Keep an eye out for someplace to purchase good provisions. [19:14:25] * Hank heads after Clarissa. [19:14:31] * Kardos wanders over to Clarissa. "What a remarkably frivolous use of arcana." [19:14:32] * The performer bows. "Glad to help, and enjoy your stay in Oriel." He looks at the group once more. "Oh, the adventurer's office is west until you hit 23rd street, then take it to the 4th ring, if that's your thing." [19:17:42] * CCD is now known as Leo [19:18:05] We have a choice, people. [19:18:21] We can take to the sea here, spend a little more, and save a bit of time, or we can go overland. [19:18:27] * Kardos nods and thanks the performer. [19:19:05] I have never traveled by sea. Is it generally worth it? [19:19:48] * Clarissa shrugs. [19:19:56] The forests are probably our best option. [19:20:08] We going to need anything special to avoid getting sick if we go over sea? [19:20:17] A greater chance of problems on the way, and of running into the fey. [19:21:14] Is not the latter the cause of our journey? [19:21:26] * Cali continues on her performance, and in the climax causes a the 'dragon' to breathe a gout of flame, causing pyrotechnics in the sky above her position as the play begins to wind down. [19:21:41] Ooh. Pretty. [19:21:59] Remarkably so. [19:22:26] Illusion. Far easier to create the image of a dragon than to summon a real one. [19:22:34] One would hope. [19:22:40] * Kardos rubs at his side. [19:24:34] We should reprovision today, stay the night in the city, and leave in the morning. [19:25:50] * Kardos nods. [19:27:06] Sounds good by me [19:29:20] * Hank nods. "Good a plan as any." [19:29:36] * Clarissa nods and continues looking for someplace to buy more provisions. [19:32:23] [A couple places seem evident as provisions suppliers for your needs. One run by a half-orc and the other run by a raptoran who seems... rather out of place. Still both have wares to sell. [19:32:27] ] [19:33:46] * Clarissa heads for the raptoran, actually. [19:36:31] * The Raptoran smiles at the approaching adventurers from his shop. It's actually in a building, but he seems to know what adventurers want and supplies it. He welcomes you in a calm voice into the store. "Welcome to my store, adventurers. Are you looking for anything special?" [19:36:46] * Lucy waves. "Hi there." [19:37:05] * The Raptoran waves to Lucy. "Hello." [19:37:41] Provisions. They have to keep as long as possible. [19:37:59] * Kardos looks from Lucy to the Raptoran. [19:38:56] * The raptoran thinks for a moment. "How much are you looking to spend? I have enchanted food that will keep indefinetly, but it's pricy." [19:41:04] Six weeks worth. [19:41:13] How pricy? [19:41:49] * Hank stands to the side, looking around. [19:42:05] About 15 gold per person per day, I'm afraid. Arcane components aren't cheap. [19:43:03] * Clarissa whistles. "No, fraid I couldn't even bargain that down to an acceptable level. What else've you got handy?" [19:44:38] Some good dried fruits would be nice. We can supplement it with other things. [19:45:09] * Kardos takes a whiff of the air. [19:45:46] * The Raptoran bows his head and takes out a large book. Now that you're looking around, you notice that not only does this place have the standard upper-class fare you'd find in an upscale shop, but also some rather exotic and magical items. Notable items include Footbows, exotic weapons (persumably magic from the quality of their craftsmanship), traveler's cloaks, haversacks, and low-grade general bonus items. [19:45:59] [The more expensive stuff is, of course, behind the counter. [19:47:36] [Also, there are things of elven and raptoran manufacture here. Tree tents, moondew, and thistledown coats among them.] [19:47:39] * Leo slowly looks around, having wisely learned to keep his mouth shut. [19:48:57] * Hank is poking through the goods, idly. [19:49:47] * Lucy looks over the items with interest, considering picking them up later on, or at least getting some GOod Ideas from them [19:50:57] We'll probably be coming back to this city at some point, so make note of anything that seems interesting. [19:51:44] Oh, most definitely. [19:53:22] * Hank pulls a cloak off the rack, rubs it between his fingers, frowns, and sticks it back. [19:53:22] * The Raptoran nods and walks through the door into the back. Odd, the shop should NOT be that big. Still, he comes out with a bag. "I do have some goodberries left from one of my client's most recent excursions, if you'll take those. As well, here's some dried meats, cow, chicken, and pig, and of course normal fruits and nuts. And some granola. Do you need anything else?" [19:54:40] That will be sufficient. [19:56:58] How much are those books? [19:58:24] Okay, that's 6 weeks per pe-. Oh, that depends on the book. Generally from 20 to 60 gold, depending on the rarity and who penned it. Anything rarer you'll have to ask me for, I don't leave those out there. [19:59:13] * Clarissa twitches. [19:59:37] * Clarissa twitches again. [20:00:05] * Clarissa gives up and turns to scan the titles. [20:00:55] Anyways, that will be one hundered and fifty gold for six weeks of rations for six people. That's including water sticks as well. [20:01:36] Thirty gold each. Fork it over, guys. [20:02:06] * Kardos reaches into his pouch and produces exactly thirty gold without seeming to count. He then goes back to ogling the books. [20:02:15] * Clarissa continues browsing the books. [20:02:32] * Lucy hands it over. "Alright, here." [20:03:15] * Hank flips out thirty gold and funnels it into Clarissa's hands. [20:03:34] [Topics on the book rack include, but are not limited to: Monster types, magic schools, theology, history, geography, knot tying, animal handling/husbandry/training, and how to use some items in new and interesting ways (101 uses for a feather token: Tree). [20:03:35] ] [20:04:29] * Clarissa checks for a book on the fey. [20:09:56] * Clarissa grabs three books off the shelf and sets them gently on the counter. I'll give you twenty five each. [20:11:22] * The Raptoran checks the titles and consults his ledger. "Going into the woods? Twenty-five gold for each one is a fair price." [20:11:54] * Clarissa sets the moneys down, along with the money for the provisions. [20:12:15] * The Raptoran takes the money and bows to Clarissa. "Good doing business with you." [20:12:25] I agree. [20:12:36] We'll be passing back through before too long. Hope to see you still here. [20:13:01] I certainly will meet you again, don't worry. [20:13:14] * Kardos picks out some books and purchases them. [20:18:55] * The raptoran takes the money and smiles. "And to you, too." [20:19:25] * Lucy leaves with everyone once they're done. "Any more purchases, or do we start finding a place to stay? [20:19:27] I hope you find what you're looking for. Take care when dealing with the fey, they're not to be trifled with. [20:19:37] Thanks [20:21:28] Thank you for the advice, and the goods. [20:21:40] Let's find an inn, people. [20:23:15] * Lucy stretches, and starts looking." [20:23:47] * Kardos nods. [20:23:49] [You leave the provisions shop and look for an inn! The inn isn't too hard to find. Or at least, a inn isn't too hard to find. It seems almost every street has an inn, with just about any name imaginable.] [20:24:24] Ah. [20:25:18] So many... I don't know which to choose. But I guess it doesn't matter what we pick, right? [20:25:24] We're only around for one night after all [20:25:34] * Clarissa looks for the Happy Hippo. [20:27:16] [The Happy Hippo is found! A nice place, not too big, not too small, and just the right price too! (1 gp a night)] [20:27:47] Ooh. Nice and reasonably priced. [20:28:08] [Oddly enough, inn prices aren't as inflated as most other things.] [20:29:29] * Clarissa heads in, then. [20:29:31] * Kardos nods as if that confirms something. [20:30:01] * Lucy heads in cheerfully. She's looking forward to rest in an actual indoor location. [20:30:17] It'll be good to finally get some sleep under a roof. Not that I don't like camping. [20:30:53] * The innkeeper is a fairly non-descript tall human male. "We have 3 rooms left, 1 gp per room." [20:30:58] * Kardos shrugs. [20:31:17] How many beds per room? [20:31:50] * Innkeeper: "Two, what do you take this for, the Diving Douchebag?" [20:32:17] That will be sufficient. [20:32:29] Baths? [20:32:38] * Kardos seems puzzled by the response. [20:33:36] "In the basement. They're public, one for men, one for women." [20:34:01] Good enough. [20:34:10] * Clarissa digs out some money. [20:35:43] Sounds good. [20:39:10] How do you wanna split rooms? [20:39:43] * Clarissa sighs. [20:40:00] You'll room with me, Lucy. The boys can split the other two however they like. [20:40:22] Sure. [20:43:38] I would like to visit the local temple first [20:44:10] I will accompany you, Leo. [20:44:13] I have to check in with the local Order office. Just be back in time to get some sleep. [20:44:20] Ah? Sure, I"ll come along too. [20:44:23] Will do. [20:48:19] [And after designating who's staying with who, people head their seperate ways for the rest of the day before leaving. Khrosk, for instance, gets drunk and comes back late night to sleep. Leo and Clarissa went to talk to their respective arcane/religious organizations. Lucy went with Leo, Kardos probably trained and read books, while Hank probably did some sneaky stuff and not got caught.] [20:56:55] [Session End! Minis possibly ensuing.] [21:00:28] [Lucy finds herself outside of a Temple to Pelor while the priests and Leo talk fancy stuff. Sounds like they'll be at it all night, so Lucy's got herself for the evening/night. The sun is about 3/4ths through it's daily path.] [21:00:32] [Mini start!] [21:01:08] * Lucy finds herself a bit bored, and looks around for something interesting. [21:01:46] [Interesting stuff? Depends on what Lucy finds interesting.] [21:02:18] [She'll need to be more specific if she wants to find something interesting.] [21:03:30] * Lucy lets Leo know she'll meet him back at the inn, and starts asking around. "Where's a nice tall place with a good view around here?" [21:10:25] * One of the participants in an evening show points Lucy to one of the several towers located through the city. There's the Arcane Order's tower, Mirgual's Tower, and the Tower to Mouqol in the center. The Tower to Mouqol is also a bank and financial institution of sorts. Mirgual's Tower is an ancient tower built long long ago on the outskirts of the town. (cont.)] [21:11:15] [Rumor is it's still inhabited by Mirgual and, unless you want to become some sort of bizzare experiment, you should not enter. The Arcane Order's tower is the shortest, and access is usually denied unless you're a member.] [21:11:33] [Finally, outside of town are the hills you were on before you entered.] [21:12:24] * Lucy decides to check out the hills. "Thanks.' [21:15:30] [You go to the hills! They are hilly. By the time you get there, night has almost began to set in, setting a warm sunset from the west and over the city.] [21:16:43] * Lucy smiles, and sits down on the hill for a bit, taking in the sunset and the general scenery. "This is pretty nice. Wouldn't call it perfect, but it's not bad." [21:17:32] [Apparently, Lucy likes to talk to herself.[ [21:17:33] ] [21:18:50] * Lucy enjoys it for a while, then gets up and goes to take a look at the Tower to Mouqol. [21:22:01] [The Tower to Mouqol has closed for the day, it being out of normal business hours.] [21:22:58] * Lucy frowns. Maybe next time she's around town. She checks to see how late it's gotten [21:24:13] * Hank (chamelaeon@ip68-229-190-130.om.om.cox.net) Quit (Quit: ) [21:25:05] [The sun has gone below the horizon maybe an hour or so ago.] [21:25:16] * Lucy heads back to the inn. [21:26:34] [And back to the inn Lucy goes! Kardos is probably there.] [21:31:27] * Lucy looks at the general crowd first. [21:34:59] [The crowd is very, uh... It's like a tavern.] [21:36:02] * Lucy just heads up to her and Clarissa's room, then, since Kardos is probably sleeping by now. [21:38:00] ( CHanging mind. Probably saw Kardos on rooftop. Heading up there. [21:38:56] * Lucy heads up to the rooftop, after getting into something more comfortable than "Steel Plate Skirt and breastplate" [21:40:06] * Kardos looks up from his book, a collection of folktales and proverbs. "Ah? Hello, Lucy." [21:40:39] Ah, hi there. Kinda surprised to see you reading up here. [21:42:34] Sunlight provides better visibility and comfort, I believe. [21:43:04] [It is night time, I'd like to note.] [21:43:32] ( ... I totally did not know that. ^_^; ) [21:43:38] ( Retcon, pls! ) [21:43:48] (I had it listed above. ^^; Go ahead.) [21:44:18] [Retcon to the tavern/common room.] [21:44:29] Better lighting is available here than in the inn room. [21:45:12] Ah. I guess you got used to the general crowd noise? [21:56:02] Not quite. [21:56:17] * Lucy nods. [21:56:18] It is difficult to ignore it while remaining aware of my surroundings. [21:56:28] Does one get used to it eventually? [21:56:50] You can usually tune it out after... oh, maybe 15, 20 minutes. Usually. [21:58:53] * Kardos nods. "Perhaps I require more practice, then." [21:59:05] How long have you been at it? [21:59:45] * Kardos looks at the nearest candle. "Nearly half an hour." [22:01:23] Ah... [22:01:39] Has your evening been fruitful, Lucy? [22:02:52] Mine? Hm. I went with Leo for a while. He was talking with the priests there, but not a whole lot happened so I went out on my own. Looked for a nice big hill, sat down, just watched the sunset. I like them. [22:04:25] * Kardos blinks. "Oh? Are there still hills here?" [22:04:33] Yeah, a few. [22:05:03] I hold myself pleasantly surprised. [22:05:24] * Leo (CCDWork@69.150.87.145) Quit (Ping timeout) [22:06:24] I wanted to get a nice good view of the area. There were a few towers around, but one is membership only, one is abandoned and possibly occupied by a mad wizard, and the last was closed. [22:07:05] The crazy tower was called MIrgaul's Tower or something like that. [22:07:31] * Kardos nods. "Generally it is wise to leave mad wizards be. They often have a strange obsession with traps." [22:07:50] Oh, yeah. [22:08:06] I don't know how they manage to do their day to day routine. [22:08:47] I mean, they have to go to the bathroom, but first they have to climb a ladder and move a painting so they can get a red key, then put a pot on a switch to hold the door open long enough for them to get inside or something like that. [22:10:56] I believe the more accomplished ones have keyed stationary teleportation rugs linking key points like the larder, restroom, study, and whatever area they have set aside for cackling. [22:11:34] That makes sense. You can't very well just cackle in your restroom. [22:12:00] You could, but it would be undignified. And possibly echo oddly. [22:12:08] Yeah. [22:12:53] * Kardos frowns. [22:13:17] Something bothering you? [22:17:47] Not signifficantly. [22:18:44] * Lucy nods. "Alright. Well, if you wanna talk about it, I'm here." [22:20:33] * Kardos nods. "Yes, that is so." He looks thoughtful a moment. "Are there any local legends where you grew up, Lucy?" [22:21:31] Oh, lots. [22:22:15] What sort were you wondering about? [22:22:25] Trully? ...well, I suppose that must be true of any place. [22:23:15] Anything involving strange weapons or people who travel without seeming to move. [22:24:07] Travel without seeming to move? LIke a spirit journey or something like that? [22:25:01] * Kardos shakes his head. "I do not know. Spirit journey, astral travel, mass teleportation. Anything out of the ordinary." [22:25:44] Or, really, any tales of wandering tribes of people. [22:26:15] Hmmm... [22:27:54] Groups of people travelling don't come up as often. It's usually a single person. Or a pair. [22:29:49] I've heard stories of a lineage that wander the world, searching for their point of origin, but nothing more specific than that. [22:30:10] It seems to come up a lot, trying to find "Home". [22:32:14] * Kardos nods. [22:36:42] One story's always stood out to me. A boy goes out hunting, and finds a golden arrow. To test it, he shoots it, but he's somehow been tied to it. It sails through the air and takes him with it. And while he's flying with it, he sees... everything. The whole world and all the planes. It all goes by in seconds, but for an instant, he sees a place so pure and perfect in natural beauty that out of everything he sees, he remembers it forever. [22:36:46] Then he lands and breaks his leg. [22:39:26] * Kardos blinks. [22:39:30] What an odd tale. [22:39:37] Oh, yeah. Lots of tales are. [22:40:29] Giant purple sea worms that live in the sky, colors that talk to you, that sort of thing. [22:40:56] But it's a kind of nice thought, isn't it? Some place that, compared to everything else in a span of seconds, stands out like that. [22:43:12] * Kardos looks thoughtful. "Yes... yes it is." [22:48:53] I kinda wish I could tell you a story about a magic sword, but it's kinda hard, considering it's hard to find a story that doesn't involve a magic sword. Makes it kinda hard to narrow down what you're looking for... [22:51:48] * Kardos nods. "I understand. Most heros of legend are accompanied by a weapon they claim as their own, and somtimes a single weapon passes between many heroic figures." [22:52:03] Yeah. [22:52:26] It gets more confusing when people start naming their weapons. [22:52:32] I mean, how many "Vanquishers" are there? [22:53:43] I would assume quite a few. [22:53:54] * Lucy nods. [22:53:59] You ever thought about naming your sword? [22:54:54] * Kardos frowns. "No, strangely. I..." he pauses, fishing for words. "I believe it has a name and that I am waiting for it to tell me." [22:55:53] * Lucy nods... [22:56:16] What does the sword do for you? And I don't just mean cutting things up. [22:56:35] I cannot express it to my satisfaction. [22:57:25] There is the sensation of being accompanied by a benevolent presence, I suppose. [22:57:46] There is the feeling of bearing something important, something cherished. [22:58:15] * Lucy nods. "Keep going. Don't worry about satisfaction. JUst keep talking, and you'll get closer to what you mean to say." [22:59:21] And there is another, stranger sensation of being... near something... singular? Unusual? I believe the theologians refer to such a feeling as 'numinous', but I cannot be sure. There is much of life that is quite new to me. [22:59:54] Numinous? Not familiar with that word. [23:01:59] * Kardos frowns. "It is a term used to describe events when a believer feels that their deity is near and observing without actually manifesting. I hesitate to use the phrase, however, as I do not understand how a weapon could inspire such a feeling." [23:02:12] To be fair, however, daily I learn that there is much I do not understand. [23:02:17] Ah... [23:03:35] Does this sword inspire those sorts of feelings in you and no one else? [23:04:13] As far as I know, yes. [23:04:44] It could be because I have been with the sword longer. Or that I usually do not have it naked in the presence of others. Or any number of possible things. [23:04:56] * Lucy nods. [23:05:49] Sword's pretty much family to you, isn't it? [23:06:14] As much as anything, yes. [23:06:31] Ah. [23:06:50] The people who did raise you.. what were they like? [23:08:12] To the dawn of my memory, I was not raised by anyone. [23:08:33] How far back is that? [23:08:59] Perhaps ten or twelve years. I was abandoned, orphaned, or otherwised rendered solitary when I was very young, and wandered for some time. [23:09:38] * Lucy nods... [23:10:03] So nobody else really took care of you after that either? [23:10:44] I do not believe anyone was available to do so. I wandered for most of my youth and somehow contrived to avoid settlements. [23:11:03] Ah... [23:13:10] So aside from wanting to find where you came frmo, you've been wandering from place to place because that's what you've always done? [23:15:11] I more or less stopped wandering after I was adopted two years ago. Since then, I have come across concepts that gave me questions, which in turn gave me purpose. [23:15:27] Adopted? What sorts of concepts? [23:15:35] * Lucy looks curious and glad to listen [23:17:28] Questions. [23:17:48] Hm? [23:18:11] I had never had to deal with questions of who I was, who my parents were, and what I was to do with my life, much less esoteric matters such as the gods and the purpose of existence. [23:18:35] * Lucy nods... [23:18:42] I was much too busy finding food, moving on, and finding shelter once it grew cold. [23:20:51] What were the people who adopted you like? [23:21:20] They were elves. [23:21:59] A father and daughter. The daughter found me, and took quite a shining to me, as we were roughly the same 'age', as such things work out between elves and humans. [23:22:18] Interesting... [23:22:45] HOw'd they end up taking you in? That sounds like a good story. [23:22:53] I learned a great deal from them. Ramarkable people. Intelligent and capable. And yet I will never be amazed at how people with so much energy and capability can acomplish so little in a day. [23:27:20] What, you mean those two? [23:28:36] Well, elves in general, really. [23:28:45] Ah. [23:29:14] Apparently having lifespans that creep unto a thousand years has made them lackadaisacal and somewhat perfectionist. [23:30:14] Yeah, kinda. They're usually the ones in charge back home, though they keep a number of shorter-lived races on the council to ensure that all perspectives are heard out. [23:31:20] * Kardos nods. [23:33:28] [And so people talked and then went to sleep! Mini end!] [23:34:12] Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee [23:34:41] z.z [23:34:47] 'Night, you crazy peeps. [23:35:01] 'night Robin.
