<NovaSeaker> Yon, after about a week of Aurelis's shop being closed and you starting to get worried, you see a gnome walk up to his door, and you're pretty sure you saw the same 
  gnome come around the day before.
<NovaSeaker> Only this time the gnome is kinda futzing around with the door to the shop.
<NovaSeaker> what is Marianysa likely to do in that situation?
<Yonjuuni> The obvious answer is to follow the gnome.
<NovaSeaker> Follow him where? Looks like you have enough time to go out and ask him something before he gets inside.
<NovaSeaker> Or see if he's a friend of Aurelis or something
<Yonjuuni> Oh, he's going in?
<NovaSeaker> yes
<Yonjuuni> Scratch that.
<Yonjuuni> I'm going to ask him if he knows the owner, then.

<NovaSeaker> [Marianysa is minding her shop and business is slow, when she sees a gnome across the bridge. It looks like he's trying to enter Aurelis's shop.]
* Marianysa approaches the gnome from behind, and says loudly and cheerfully "Hi! The store's closed. Are you a friend of the owner?"
* Mikael turns, a very slight individual, the top of his wildly-white haired head rotates as if on a pivot. A steely eyed gnome looks up supiciously, bringing a gloved hand up to his chin as 
  he examines the creature before him.
<Mikael> "Are you?"
<NovaSeaker> (Hello?)
<Marianysa> (sorry, phone)
* Marianysa folds her arms. "You could say that."
<Mikael> "And have you seen him around?"
<Marianysa> Haven't seen him in over a week, since he closed the store.
<Mikael> "so he hasn't been home? He lives upstairs, correct?"
<Marianysa> That's right.
* Marianysa starts to sound a little excited. "Are you an Inquisitive? Did something happen?"
<Mikael> "I'm someone that wants to see him."
<Marianysa> Well, I don't know where he is, unfortunately.
<Mikael> "would you like me to find him?"
<Marianysa> Well yes! I'm worried, it's not like him to vanish like this!
<Mikael> "Vanished, hrmm?"
<Mikael> "I can find him for you, for a nominal fee."
<Marianysa> ...wait a second, why am I paying you when you're looking for him already?
<NovaSeaker> (As this falls under business ventures, this cost is part of your abstracted expenses)
<Mikael> "Well, you seem quite desperate to find him, no?"
<Mikael> "If you don't want to, I've got other things I must attend to.."
* Marianysa frowns. "Alright, you've got a deal."
* Mikael rubs his palms together. Excellent."
<Marianysa> But I'm coming with you, to make sure this isn't a scam!
<Mikael> "Well, yes, the fee is for your own accompaniment, madame."
* Mikael is wearing a dusty-blue colored blazer that along with his gloves covers his entire torso. On his very slight legs are what appears to be a very tiny pair of golden pantaloons.
<Marianysa> Well, that's settled then! So...what do we do?
<Mikael> "Perhaps it would be a good point to just come along and watch me work, no?"
<NovaSeaker> [With that Mikael and Marianysa set off to find the missing shopkeep.]
