  stakeout. Outside, across the stairs leading down to the docks, is a caravel manned by goblinoids. The everburning lanterns illuminating the rest of the docks don't extend their 
  brightness to this ship.]

[17:35:15] <NovaSeaker> <NovaSeaker> "The info Sigma obtained marks that ship out there, the Garuk Tak, as the transport Daask is going to use for the prisoners. There are 26 prisoners 
  in total, likely to come from the mud caves just east of here."
[17:35:15] <NovaSeaker> <NovaSeaker> "We know they'll be guarded, obviously, but Sigma wasn't able to find out exactly what kind of detail we're talking."

[17:39:34] <NovaSeaker> "Well we have a full view of the path from the mud caves to the ship. We'll be able to see the prisoners being led there before they reach it."
[17:40:07] <Aurora> Alright, so we can cut them off there?
[17:41:35] <NovaSeaker> <Sigma nods> "Only danger with that, you see, is if they bring the slaves in more than one wave. If we give ourselves away then we'll have to track the rest 
  down all over again. Likely before they decide to cut their losses and kill em all."

[17:42:40] <Aun> Sounds like the best idea is to get on the boat and wait for them, then.
[17:42:42] <Sev> Well if they bring 'em out in more than one group we can wait to see.
[17:42:48] <Sev> They won't be leaving until they unhitch the ship.
[17:43:30] <NovaSeaker> <Ban nods at Sev> "Your hammer-wielding friend has a point. We can wait until the prisoners are all loaded in one place before attacking."
[17:43:45] <Aurora> How long would it take them to launch the ship?
[17:44:04] <Sev> If worse comes to worse we can comandeer the ship too. If we kill 'em we might as well rob 'em too.
[17:44:07] <NovaSeaker> <Alexander shrugs> "I've never left Sharn, I have no idea what sailors do."
[17:44:09] * Sev stretches in his seat.
[17:44:16] <Phanos> "Wat if dey skuttle?"
[17:44:27] <NovaSeaker> <Alexander coughs> "Ahhahh.. not so good. The ship is here legally, remember?"
[17:45:09] <Marianysa> I'll leave the planning to you guys. I just need a couple minutes right before we're actually ready to fight. Don't want the magic running out while we wait...

[17:46:00] <Aurora> Anything we can do to the ship to hurt its ability to leave? Without wrecking it, that is.

  can easily bring evidence that the ship was docked under false pretenses."

[17:50:37] <NovaSeaker> "Actually any actions taken to the end of rescuing the prisoners could be justified. Though we might be slapped with some charges after this, I'll make sure 
  they won't stick. That is if you're willing to hire me as your barrister."
[17:51:03] <Sev> If you keep me out of jail I'll do anything you want.
[17:51:32] <NovaSeaker> <Alexander nods> "We'll discuss my court fees later, if need be."
[17:51:35] <Aurora> I'd rather not hurt any more people than necessary. At least, among those who have no idea of what's going on
[17:52:33] <NovaSeaker> <Sigma leans back in his chair.> "Everyone has an idea of whats going on here, girl. Did you notice how not one Watch patrol came down this end of the dock in 
  hours? They're paid. The ship's captian is paid, and his crew get a cut."

[17:52:52] <Aurora> Alright, open season.
[17:53:02] <NovaSeaker> <Sigma grins.> "I like this one."
[17:54:23] <NovaSeaker> <Ban looks up from going over come spells> "I'd like to point out that the Watch will likely show up once reports of a heated battle come in. They might've been 
  paid to look the other way as 'passengers' were quietly loaded onto a ship, but they still have to maintain the venere of saftey for legitimate shippers."
[17:54:42] <NovaSeaker> <Alexander nods.> "Just in time to arrest the lot of us."
[17:54:47] <Aun> So we've got to make this quick, then.
[17:54:49] <Aurora> Hmph.
[17:55:08] <Aurora> They're all willing participants in this as far as I'm concerned.
[17:55:11] <Aun> I can take a little arresting. Hell, it'll probably make the story better.

[17:59:27] * Aun nods. "Hold on a second." She shifts into her Bloody William form, taking an eyepatch from her pocket and slipping it on.

[17:59:38] <NovaSeaker> <Ban takes out a small jar from his robes and sets it on the table. Inside is a green frog, contently perched on a stick.>
[17:59:48] * Aurora eyes the jar. "What's this?"
[17:59:53] <Aurelis> "Aurelis raises his hand. Alexander, after this, how close are we to tracking down who wants us dead?"
[17:59:55] <Aun> The more there is to a plan, the more it gets fucked up.
[18:00:09] <NovaSeaker> <Ban> "... It's a familiar. You don't have one?"

[18:07:28] <NovaSeaker> <Ban> "Are you sure? Cause you know if I was an arcane spellcaster, you know hypothetically, I'd want my mind is as good as shape as possible."

  leading to the mud caves.]
[18:16:18] <NovaSeaker> [A procession of hobgoblins pulling two prisoners a peace shortly follows the noise.]
[18:16:41] * Aurora frowns. "Here."
[18:16:46] <NovaSeaker> [A gnoll leads them]
[18:17:01] <Aurelis> "Aurelis rolls his neck, finally."
[18:17:44] * Sev snorts a bit, sitting up.
[18:17:46] <Sev> Gnuhh..?
[18:17:56] <NovaSeaker> <Alexander> "Alright keep quiet... lets wait until we count 26 prisoners"
[18:18:33] <NovaSeaker> [Eventually 16 prisoners are lead onto the docks, by three hobgoblins, three shifters, and two gnolls.]
[18:18:53] <Phanos> "dat aint twenny seex." He whispers
[18:19:22] <Aurelis> "Aurelis thinks, good luck with getting that silence from me, I can't even get it."
[18:19:46] <Sev> It's the bigger half, though..
[18:20:44] <Aun> I'd rather wait until we can get them all in one shot, though.
[18:21:43] <NovaSeaker> <Alexander nods just as the wooden ramp jumps sharply, then slams back down, and continues to rattle as something extremely heavy makes it way up]

[18:22:24] <NovaSeaker> [A two-headed giant, completely encased in armor, makes its way to the boardwalk, hauling a group of 10 slaves behind it]

[18:28:38] * Aurelis shifts his hands through the air in a familiar style creating a blue breast plate over his body.

[18:30:14] * Marianysa places her hands on Sev, Aun, and Aurora's armor in turn, enhancing them slightly.
[18:30:36] * Marianysa nods, drawing her sword. "Yeah!"

[18:43:21] <NovaSeaker> [Alexander swings but possibly due to his unfamiliarity with his new reach he stabs at the air behind the giant.]

[18:56:34] <NovaSeaker> [The shifters all start moving and suddenly their feet elongage until they're running on the balls of their feet, like the gnolls beside them do, using their 
  longer legs to close distances much faster]
[18:57:24] <NovaSeaker> [The grimy shifter runs up to Mari ready to uses his battleaxe when Mari attacks it.]

[19:07:09] * Sev stands, quickly moving to the back of the tavern.

  big as Sev's actual head. He then manages to take a swipe at Alexander before the rest of the battle goes underway]
[19:28:15] <NovaSeaker> [Alexander gets clocked directly in the face, a spike from the morningstar punching through his cheek and ripping teeth out of his jaw.]

[19:29:08] * Aurelis dashes to the outer wall of the tavern, energy is instantly conjured into his palms, cinged air clouds the senses of Aurelis' allies and is hurled into the shifter 
  attacking his female companion. The blast escapes it's target and explodes off mark.

  predictably, takes a swing]

[19:59:18] <NovaSeaker> [The green ray from Phanos's finger flies wide, too high to hit the giant over Alexander's shoulder.]

[20:00:37] * Sev squeezes past Aun, swinging after he arrives in place at the uninjured shifter.

[20:03:41] <NovaSeaker> [The unwashed shifter gets clocked in the head and goes somewhat slack, looking around stupidly as it tries to get the world to stop spinning.]

[20:06:34] * Aurora steps out of the tavern and over one of the bodies, and fires an arrow at the nearby gnoll.
[20:10:02] <NovaSeaker> [The arrow flies true and thunks into the gnoll's chest, but it stays standing.]
[20:10:53] <NovaSeaker> [The giant roars and starts beating down on Alexander with two-fisted moringstars, wailing away.]
[20:11:35] <NovaSeaker> [In it's fury, it manages to only land on hit on the enlarged inquisitive]

[20:14:01] <NovaSeaker> [Suddenly bolt of lightening streaks out from behind Sev toward Alexander and the Giant]

[20:19:51] * Aurelis face is still as another sphere explodes electrifyingly between his fingers. Aurelis' pupils dialate and sweat flies into the sky as the orb darts toward his 
  adjacent foe
[20:21:01] <NovaSeaker> [The electricity coruscants over the shifters dirty body, burning hair and flesh before it topples to the ground.]
[20:22:32] <NovaSeaker> [The gnoll at the edge of the dock takes stock of the situation and fires a shot at Sev, the closest, before retreating behind the hobgoblins.]
[20:22:59] <NovaSeaker> [The arrow thunks into the tavern way above.]
[20:23:30] <NovaSeaker> [The gnoll on the ship moves to its bow and fires again at Alexander, using the higher ground of the forecastle to its advantage.]
[20:24:29] <NovaSeaker> [The arrow strikes Alexander between his neck and collarbone, and with a gush of blood he falls]
[20:25:22] <NovaSeaker> [The goblin on the forecastle fires a ballista bolt into the crowd after having loaded it last turn]
[20:25:30] <Marianysa> No!
[20:26:23] <NovaSeaker> [The bolt slams directly into... zombie number 2]
[20:27:15] <NovaSeaker> [the goblins shove in another slave and begin prepping the sails for launch]
[20:27:45] <Aurora> ( ... they're shoving slaves into the ballista? )
[20:27:57] <NovaSeaker> (Into the lower hold)
[20:28:19] <Marianysa> (That's how I read at first, too)
[20:28:30] <Marianysa> (which, frankly, is an AWESOME mental image)

[20:33:48] <NovaSeaker> [Sigma barrel rolls away from the giant, doging its grasping attacks, then comes up from his roll and chucks a dagger up at one of the giant's heads.]
[20:34:49] <NovaSeaker> [The dagger lodges into one of its necks, underneath the helmet]
[20:35:49] <NovaSeaker> [Mari's Turn!]
[20:41:37] * Marianysa looks quickly towards the giant, then towards the ballista on the boat, and starts moving down the dock.
[20:43:37] <NovaSeaker> [One of the hobgoblins moves forward and chucks something at Mari]
[20:46:16] <NovaSeaker> [Another hobgoblin moves forward to takes its place.]
[20:48:59] <NovaSeaker> [The object impacts on Mari's chest and a thick vicous goo explodes and wraps around her body]
[20:50:18] <NovaSeaker> [And Mari writhes from the impact the goo spills down her legs and onto the boardwalk. It then rapidly hardens and anchors her in place.]
[20:50:53] * Marianysa looks down, then back up in disbelief. "No way."
[20:51:18] <NovaSeaker> [Phanos's Turn!]
[20:51:56] * Phanos moves quickly over to his zombie, his palm glowing a reddish black as he touching his hand caringly to the injured, mindless creature. He points towards the ship, 
  and the rest of his zombies shuffle towards it.

[20:59:55] * Aurora steps over to Alexander and places a hand on him. "Get up!"

[21:01:43] <NovaSeaker> [The Giant turns around and steps toward Sigma, ready to smash the annoying little thing into the ground]
[21:04:25] <NovaSeaker> [The halfling rogue does a good job of dodging the giant's blows, but eventually gets smacked by one and thrown for a loop.]
[21:05:16] <NovaSeaker> [Ban rushes up besides Alexander and throws another shocking spark from his fingertips.]
[21:08:28] <NovaSeaker> [The energy latches onto the giant's armor, conducting its power through every inch of it's massive body. It shudders and writhes for a moment before toppling 
  over, smoke rising from the visored helms]
[21:09:07] <Aurora> Hey, what's with your arm?
[21:09:17] <NovaSeaker> [Aurelis go!]
[21:09:26] * Aurelis continues his silence, energy bursts through the finger tips the energy forms another orb, it flies into the Mari's binds. "Mari! move back!"
[21:09:49] <NovaSeaker> <Ban> "No one renders my friends unconcious but me!"
[21:10:46] <Aurelis> "Aurelis grunts audibly, don't be so reckless!"
[21:10:50] * Marianysa turns to shoot Aurelis a dirty look. "Yeah, I'll get right on that."
[21:11:02] <NovaSeaker> <Alexander> "Oh, that's just a magic oil."
[21:12:51] <NovaSeaker> [The gnoll on the dock moves up the plank onto the ship and besides the other one. They speak in Gnoll for a moment then both direct fire at Aun and Sev.]
[21:14:09] <NovaSeaker> [Both arrows miss wildly]
[21:15:14] <NovaSeaker> [The bugbear finsihes pulling up the anchor and goes immediately to aid the goblins in lowering the sails. The fourth goblin readies another ballista bolt to 
  fire soon and the Captain barks out orders and grips the wheel checking rudder.]
[21:16:07] <NovaSeaker> [Alexander gets up from his position and nods gratefully to Aurora, then starts running down toward the other side of the dock]
[21:17:29] <NovaSeaker> [Sigma cuts and runs, following Alexander and downing a potion]

[21:19:39] * Marianysa grits her teeth. "Dammit!" She starts attempting to scrape the goo off.
[21:25:03] * Marianysa pulls her feet out with great effort. She slowly steps forawrd, taking her place beside Aun, red faced and panting from the effort. And embarassment.
[21:26:13] <NovaSeaker> [The hobgoblin just before Aun and Mari crosses it's shield and flail, guarding its withdraw from combat. The other two goblins stay where they are as that one 
  passes them, intently looking at the lot of you]

[21:27:47] * Phanos touches his palm to the shoulder of his zombie, continuing to stitch it up. "Go!" he tells the others, and they shamble.
[21:28:59] <NovaSeaker> [Just as the zombie 3 approaches the unemotional hobgoblin, it throws a tanglefoot bag at it]
[21:30:01] <NovaSeaker> [As zombo 1 approaches the pissed hobgoblin, it also throws a tanglefoot bag at it]
