  outer door cannot be opened at the same time and that the party gets the rest it deserves. After a few hours, however, Mari still doesn't wake, her breathing ragged but stable.]

[17:09:21] * Aurora is sitting and leaning against hte wall, occasionally looking at her mortal opponent, Giant Immobile Crystal Rod.
[17:11:05] * Aun is lying on the ground, her head propped up against her coat rolled into a ball, writing in a journal. Every so often, she pauses, crosses something out, and starts 
  again.
[17:12:07] <NovaSeaker> [Phanos is in the corner, doing some bizarre grieving ritual with the head of his destroyed zombie clansmen]
[17:14:54] <Aurora> Ugh. Bored.
[17:15:23] * Aun closes her journal and pushes herself off the ground, pulling her coat up after her. "Is there anything else we needed to do before we get out of this graveyard?"
[17:16:25] <Aurora> Nothing comes to mind. I'm a little worried about Mari, though
[17:17:55] * Aun snaps her fingers. "That's right! Mari said that machine was being fed with energy from this vault."
[17:18:24] <Aun> And if we can get Mari out of Fallen, she'll be alright. She's been through a lot and might need some time to get over it, but Jorasco'll do her a world of good.
[17:18:46] <Aurora> Yeah.
[17:19:00] <NovaSeaker> [Sev grunts noncomittally]
[17:19:20] <Aurora> We need to check back at Blackstone too. I really hope that latest raver swarm didn't manage to get inside.
[17:19:44] <NovaSeaker> <Sev> "Never got inside before. Don't see why it would now."
[17:20:03] <NovaSeaker> <Sev gets up, taking his glowing maul with him and approaches the crystal shaft.>
[17:22:29] <Aurora> Going to go smash it?
[17:22:37] <NovaSeaker> <Sev mumbles to himself for a moment, then hefts his maul and starts wailing away at the shaft. The first hit gives no results, nor the next few that follow, 
  but soon enough shards of its glass-like substance start to be knocked free of the shaft.>
[17:23:18] <NovaSeaker> <Sev pauses to catch his breath a moment, then keeps it up.>
[17:23:43] <Aurora> Huh. Good work. Don't overexert yourself, though
[17:24:13] <NovaSeaker> <Sev growls> "This is what my great-granddad wanted. I'll finish it for him!"
[17:25:38] * Aun opens her journal, makes a last note, and closes it again, standing back as Sev destroys the shaft.
[17:25:40] * Aurora collects a few shards while she's at it.
[17:25:58] <NovaSeaker> <After a few minutes of constant hammering and the uncomfortably loud rining sound issuing from his maul and the crystal, a great crack rends itself through the 
  shaft, splitting the Syranian emblem in half.>
[17:26:36] <NovaSeaker> (ringing*)
[17:27:09] <NovaSeaker> <Sev staggers back and uses the maul for support.> "Huah... hahh... hahh.."
[17:27:30] <Aurora> Easy there...
[17:29:53] <NovaSeaker> <Grimacing, Sev gathers his strength and surges forward slamming his shoulder into the crystal, just above the crack. A vibration plays through the walls, 
  ringing all around the vault, and the crystal splits, sliding down the diagonal crack and then toppling over back toward Sev. He stumbles to his knees and looks up.>
[17:31:25] <Aurora> Dodge!
[17:31:45] <NovaSeaker> <The column falling toward him stops as it leans into a wall, then slides along it, the bottom end of the crystal structure sliding on the floor until it rests 
  snuggle against a corner... unfortunately pinning the preserved corpse of the cleric between it and the wall.]
[17:32:29] <NovaSeaker> [The top end, beyond your sight, slides into the opposite corner of the vault and comes to a stop well before hitting Sev.]
[17:32:34] <Aun> Well, that was lucky.
[17:32:43] <Aurora> ... wow. Yeah.
[17:32:59] <Aurora> ... oh, damn.
[17:33:06] * Aurora works to try to push it off the cleric.
[17:33:16] <Aurora> You deserve better than this...
[17:34:02] <NovaSeaker> <Sev collapses, exhausted> "Uhg.. gimme... a second..."
[17:34:07] * Aun pushes along with Aurora, grunting.

[17:43:27] <NovaSeaker> [The cleric's corpse is badly damaged by having all that weight pressed against it. Bones that weren't already broken are shattered now.]
[17:44:30] <Aun> (I don't suppose this is something Mending can fix, since a dead person with shattered bones is a non-metal object with multiple breaks?)

[17:46:42] <Phanos> "Dis silly. Dey aint no angry ghosts no."

[17:50:11] <Phanos> "Dey died defs o de warriahs. Dis where dey lie. De funeral, dat fo YOU comfort. Dem fine where dey be. Taint even got good bones."
[17:51:35] <Aurora> That aside, they still need to be identified.
[17:53:23] <Phanos> "Well, he fo YOU to be carryin' den. I don't support no movin of de dead when dey aint got no interest in movin."
[17:53:33] <Aun> Nobody asked you to.
[17:53:44] * Phanos hmps.
[17:53:47] * Marianysa nods. "Aura has a point. And they're dead, of course they don't care."
[17:54:23] <Aun> Yeah. They stand a damn good chance of being our grandparents. If I died in a hole like this, I'd want someone to carry me out regardless of how bravely I died.
[17:55:06] <NovaSeaker> <Sev mutters> "Great grand parents."
[17:55:07] <Aun> Mind you, those statements weren't connected. I'm just a bit flustered.
[17:57:19] <Marianysa> Yeah! They died here, doing something important! They're heroes, and...
[17:57:23] * Marianysa trails off.
[17:57:51] <NovaSeaker> ((...and crashed a building into a bunch of peoples homes. :V))
[18:00:04] <Aurora> At the very least, identifying them might provide some insight on what those fiends were doing here and what they were hoping to accomplish.
[18:00:29] <Aun> Yeah.
[18:00:51] <Aun> So let's get them out of here so they can be identified and we can get to a part of the city that doesn't want to eat our faces
[18:01:26] <Aurora> Hopefully before the Ravers get back.
[18:01:45] * Marianysa just nods.
[18:02:45] <NovaSeaker> <Sev huffs and stands> "Alright... I can carry two of these guys."
[18:02:47] * Aun gathers as much as she can carry, and hoists the changeling's body over her shoulder before going to the airlock.
[18:03:02] * Phanos follows along, shaking his head.
[18:03:38] <Aurora> I can carry the Cleric.
[18:03:48] * Marianysa does her best to help with the carrying effort.
[18:04:19] <NovaSeaker> <Sev takes the Dark Lantern and one of the half-rakshasa>
[18:06:36] <NovaSeaker> [The party opens the vault doors, needing to split into two groups with all the extra weight of the rakshasa's exotic goods and the corpses.]
[18:06:58] <NovaSeaker> [Sev's maul continues to light the way, and even hours later, the Crystal Tower seems abandoned.]
[18:07:36] * Aurora moves out. She and the group carry 2600 GP worth of silks and art objects.
[18:07:57] <NovaSeaker> [And exotic spices]
[18:12:15] * Phanos has his zombies carry loot
[18:12:35] * Aun follows the rest, moving through the winding passages of the tower on her way to the surface

[18:15:02] <NovaSeaker> [As they trudge through the debris, trying to pick their way back to the upper levels, the group hears a strange noise... like someone eating.]
[18:16:38] <NovaSeaker> <Sev> "What the crap..."
[18:17:27] * Aun draws her sword as she walks, figuring it's better to be safe than sorry in this sort of place.
[18:17:34] <NovaSeaker> <Sev lowers his two corpses to the ground and steps forward.>

  accidentally nudges a bit of debris, starting a small landslide of junk.]
[18:28:09] * Phanos sends his zombies in, quickly casting a spell
[18:28:19] <NovaSeaker> [The raver glances up from his feast, eyes wide] O_O
[18:28:22] <NovaSeaker> [Init]
[18:29:33] * Sev seems exceptionally tired for a moment, but then roars, hopping up on the balls of his feet again.
[18:30:10] <Sev> You're gonna have to work for me!
[18:30:25] <NovaSeaker> [Aun's Turn]
[18:32:19] <NovaSeaker> [Mari's Turn!]
[18:33:00] * Marianysa drops what she's carrying and heads for the Raver.
[18:33:29] <NovaSeaker> [Sev's Turn!]
[18:35:06] * Sev moves up and past Aun and to Mari's side, striking out with his maul as he ends his movement, ending the momentum with it. [End Turn]
[18:36:02] <Sev> One down, let's not let it up!
[18:36:22] <NovaSeaker> [Sev slams his maul into the raver's bloody face, letting its blood mingle with it's victims, and it topples over.]
[18:36:40] <NovaSeaker> [Aun's turn!]
[18:36:53] * Sev warily eyes the shadows ahead for a moment before looking back to the raver at his feet.
[18:36:54] <Aurora> Wait, do reavers normally eat the dead?
[18:37:04] <Aurora> Or is that just when they're in combat?
[18:37:29] <Sev> They've always ignored the already dead, they go after moving things.
[18:37:30] <Aurora> ( Wait, that was meant for the other channel )
[18:37:38] <Sev> ( Yoink. )
[18:37:38] * Aun moves up and drives her sword into the raver to put it out of its misery
[18:38:15] <Aun> [End turn]
[18:39:10] * Sev nods to Aun, eying the tunnel ahead again.
[18:39:28] <Sev> Keep your eyes open, people. If that was the only one, we're unrealistically lucky.
[18:39:34] <Aurora> Yeah.
[18:39:44] <Aurora> I wonder what it was doing separated from the main pack, though
[18:39:47] * Marianysa looks around warily. "They don't really travel alone, do they."
[18:39:52] * Sev steps over the corpse, looking forward.
[18:40:01] <Sev> It's eating the dead, they might be getting desperate.
[18:40:03] <Aurora> That WAS a raver, right?
[18:40:11] <Sev> Last time I checked..
[18:40:12] * Sev nods.
[18:40:34] <Aun> Maybe killing the Rakshasa broke up their behavior.
[18:40:35] <NovaSeaker> [Moving deeper into the tunnel you find out that that wasn't the only raver... just the only one left alive. A few dozen paces down the path, the floor is 
  coverd in raver corpses, literally torn apart and half-eaten.]
[18:41:07] <NovaSeaker> [Even with all the dead though, this wasn't a fraction of the swarm you saw in the early morning.]
[18:41:12] * Aun pales. "Yeah, looks like it. It seems like they're turning on each other."
[18:41:50] <Marianysa> Makes sense.
[18:42:17] <Sev> A-alright, let's keep moving.
[18:42:23] <Sev> This is likely to draw animals if anything else. Onward
[18:42:24] <Sev> .*
[18:42:54] * Aun follows Sev
[18:43:38] <Marianysa> I just...wish there was more we could do.
[18:44:09] <NovaSeaker> [The party finds their way back to the tower that was still partially intact, where the first faceless creature attacked them and nearly killed Aun. The 
  rent-open fence lies where it did before, just before the stairwell leading back to civilization.]
[18:44:44] <Sev> We already killed the guy making them here.
[18:44:50] <Sev> That's worth why we came..
[18:45:11] <Sev> But call me crazy, I think there's others.
[18:45:53] <Marianysa> Stopping them from making more is great and all, but I mean, I wish we could do more for them than mercy killing,
[18:46:00] <Aurora> Same...
[18:46:18] * Aun nods. "I'd be suprised if the core of their plan relied on one of them."
[18:46:50] <Aun> Yeah. It seems like they're wiping each other out too fast to find a way to help them, though...
[18:47:08] <Phanos> "mmh."
[18:47:10] <NovaSeaker> ((You were in the vault for hours))
[18:47:37] <Sev> I dunno, there's something not right about it. But we need to get back up topside. I need some fresh air.
[18:48:34] <Aun> (I mean in the sense that even if we were able to find a way, they'd be dead by then, not 'wow, this happened fast')
[18:48:48] <NovaSeaker> [The partys heads up the stairwell, losing count of how many landings they reached when an howl splits the monotony from above.]

[18:49:32] * Aun readies her sword again, and lowers the corpse to the ground
[18:50:13] * Sev pulls his maul out again, growling.
[18:50:23] <NovaSeaker> (Sev is carrying two corpses, btw)
[18:50:35] * Marianysa looks up, putting her stuff down again.
[18:51:07] <NovaSeaker> [You can hear the fast approaching raver lope down the stairs until it turns a corner and spots you, shrieking.] 
[18:51:07] * Sev shrugs them off his shoulders, letting them fall.

[18:55:33] * Sev charges. He's got space.

[19:09:51] * Sev doesn't do much else besides move.
[19:10:29] <NovaSeaker> [After a few more flights, the party spills out onto the level they first spied Hareth Tower from. The sun is hidden behind the towers of the city but from the 
  orange-red color of the sky you recognize that it's late afternoon.]
[19:11:41] <NovaSeaker> [Looking in the direction of Blackstone, they can spot plumes of black smoke rising out of the decades-old cracks in a few of Fallen's delapitated towers.]
[19:12:15] * Aun frowns.
[19:12:24] <Aun> I'm not sure if that's a good sign or not.
[19:13:44] <Marianysa> Can't really see what's going on from here.
[19:14:01] <Sev> ...
[19:14:05] <Sev> I'm not waiting to find out!
[19:14:33] * Aurora moves onward. "I'ms tartedin to wonder what, exactly, we did while we were down there.'
[19:14:39] * Aun nods, and begins heading for Blackstone as fast as she can with the corpse on her back
[19:14:48] * Sev keeps toward the front.
[19:14:54] <Sev> Whatever it was, I ain't gonna regret it.
[19:15:20] <NovaSeaker> [The party races through the towers and streets toward Blackstone, going as fast as their respective corpses will let them.]
[19:17:51] <NovaSeaker> [As they run through an abadnoned tower, a lone raver races out at them from a dark alley!]

[19:21:03] <NovaSeaker> [Mari's Turn!]
[19:21:47] * Marianysa rushes forward to confront the Raver, sword swinging.
[19:22:38] <Marianysa> [end turn]
[19:24:06] <NovaSeaker> [The raver is sliced into and stumbles with it's momentum, falling to the dirty floor.]

[19:30:14] * Sev hefts his maul into both hands, leaving the corpses behind as he charges toward the corpse-in-the-making.
[19:31:47] <NovaSeaker> [Sev wrenches his maul free from the back of it's head, but it still twitches with life and he can see the hole re-stitching itself.]
[19:31:51] <NovaSeaker> [Aurora's Turn!]
[19:32:35] * Aurora steps over to the other side of Sev and fires an arrow at it.
[19:37:24] <NovaSeaker> [Aurora's arrow thunks into the hole Sev's maul left behind and the raver makes one last death rattle, before slumping, the hole no longer regenerating.]
[19:37:56] <Sev> Mmfh..
[19:37:56] <NovaSeaker> [The arrow disappears, having turned to light when she fired it and dissipating when it hit the raver.]
[19:38:11] <Aurora> Let's go.
[19:38:12] * Aurora moves
[19:39:36] * Marianysa nods to Aura, shouldering the corpse again.
[19:39:40] * Phanos moves as well.
[19:40:10] * Aurora moves with the corpse
[19:40:18] * Sev hefts his two up, hustling along.
[19:40:40] <NovaSeaker> [They race onward, heading toward Blackstone. As they pass Sev and Aurora recognize that the area they're in is one of the more populated towers in Fallen, or 
  at least it was. Now the makeshift storefronts are ransacked and apartments are burning.]
[19:41:02] <Sev> What the..?! Come on, hurry it up!
[19:41:03] <Aun> (It's tuesday in Fallen! :V)
[19:41:11] <NovaSeaker> (tuesday?)
[19:41:26] <Aurora> Dammit. We went to the tower too late...
[19:41:32] <Aun> (It was a joke. I was implying that riots and fires were a weekly event.)
[19:41:32] <Marianysa> Oh no.
[19:41:40] <NovaSeaker> ((oh heh))
[19:41:50] <Aun> ...Traveller protects, this is awful.
[19:42:00] <Sev> Graahh..! I gotta find Lei!
[19:42:17] <Aurora> No, he doesn't.
[19:42:21] <Marianysa> Dammit, did we go to the wrong place?!
[19:42:33] * Aurora moves, moves, MOVES.
[19:42:35] <Marianysa> And this is no time for theology!
[19:43:37] * Aun runs as fast as she can, huffing between words. "Shut up, Aurora."
[19:44:12] <NovaSeaker> [As they run through the tower, they stop short as a raver peers over the railing of an elevated bridge connecting two building's second floors within the 
  tower. Around the bend, another raver runs forth, attracted by the noise of their husttling.]
[19:44:15] <NovaSeaker> [Init!]
[19:47:15] <NovaSeaker> [Sev's Turn!]
[19:48:58] * Sev points at the raver, yelling at him.
[19:52:01] <NovaSeaker> [Mari's Turn!]
[19:52:30] * Marianysa runs after Sev.
[19:53:45] <Marianysa> [end turn]
[19:53:50] <NovaSeaker> [Sev's maul jams the raver's collarbone into it's internal organs and it collapses.]
[19:55:33] * Marianysa actually charges the collapsed raver.
[19:57:58] <NovaSeaker> [Mari runs over and skids to a halt, slicing her antique thin blade through the raver's neck, stopping it's regeneration.]
[19:58:01] <NovaSeaker> [Aun's Turn!]
[19:58:23] <NovaSeaker> (light blade*)
[19:58:51] * Aun moves the long way around behind the raver closest to Mari and stabs it in the torso
[20:00:03] * Aun charges up to the one next to Sev and shanks it
[20:01:38] * Aun actually just kind of stands there

[20:02:39] * Aurora points her bow at the raver on the bridge and fires an arrow at it

[20:05:16] <NovaSeaker> [It snarls at Aurora as her arrow of light hits its mark and disappears, it vaults over the side of the bridge even as the arrow wound closes.]

[20:06:08] <NovaSeaker> [It lands right next to Aun and takes a swipe at her while getting up from its crouch]
[20:06:31] <NovaSeaker> [It is too off-balance from the landing, however, to get anywhere near her.]

[20:06:59] * Phanos rushes the raver with his scythe, hiz zombies surrounding it.

[20:13:26] * Sev moves to the spot between two of the zombies, failing his hammer at the raver ineffectually.
[20:14:43] <NovaSeaker> [Mari's Turn]
[20:15:11] * Marianysa darts in between the zombies, stabbing at the Raver.
[20:17:50] <NovaSeaker> [Mari slices into it's back, feeling something snap, and the raver collapses.]
[20:18:11] <NovaSeaker> [Aun's turn!]
[20:20:12] * Aun drives her sword into this one as well!
[20:21:39] <NovaSeaker> [Aun completes the severing of the creature's spine and it shudders and then lies still.]
[20:23:02] * Aurora lifts the cleric and moves on
[20:23:42] * Sev spits, grabbing his two corpses and moving on.
[20:23:55] * Aun gets her body and moves on as well, grimly determined to get to Blackstone *sometime*.
[20:25:28] * Marianysa picks up the corpse she'd been carrying and trudges after the group.
[20:25:46] <NovaSeaker> [Unknown to Aun, since she's not used to this district, Blackstone is actually very close, and they make it passed the next tower over without incident. They 
  exit onto the bridge that connects to the roof of the next tower over, where Blackstone stands. From this distance they can see that the church is not on fire. Thank the Flame for 
  small favors.]
[20:25:58] * Phanos severs its head, moving on.
[20:26:49] * Aurora heads to the door. "It's Aurora!"
[20:26:53] <NovaSeaker> [As they cross the bridge though, they hear a shout from a strong female voice.] "SHIELDS UP!"
[20:27:14] <NovaSeaker> "INCOMING!"
[20:27:30] * Aun raises her voice. "Hold! We're not ravers!"
[20:27:39] <NovaSeaker> [Approaching the Blackstone side of the bridge, they see a line of... Sharn Watchmen.]
[20:27:44] <Phanos> "Ya mon! We don't mean ya no hurt no!"
[20:27:46] <Sev> Hey, what the..?!
[20:27:53] <Marianysa> Oh hell.
[20:28:09] <NovaSeaker> [They're all armed and in a phalanx fighting position, with pikemen behind them.]
[20:28:31] <Marianysa> DO WE LOOK LIKE RAVERS?!
[20:28:43] <NovaSeaker> [One of the front-liners shouts back] "They're speaking captain!"
[20:28:59] <Phanos> "Open ya eyes."
[20:28:59] <NovaSeaker> <Feminine voice> "Let them through!"
[20:29:04] <Aurora> Thanks.
[20:29:07] <Marianysa> (we're speaking common not captain :V )
[20:29:40] <NovaSeaker> [The shield wall parts just a fraction, the width allowing you to run in single-file.]
[20:29:58] * Phanos moves forward, his zombies shuffling after him. "Dey wif me. Not ravas. I got a zombo liscense."
[20:30:00] <NovaSeaker> [One of the watchmen yells] "WATCH OUT THEY'RE RIGHT BEHIND YOU!"
[20:30:03] <Aurora> I guess the Watch hasn't COMPLETELY abandoned Fallen after all... thanks. Now what has been going on? We went out to the source of the Raver infestation... at 
  least, we're pretty sure it was the source.
[20:30:07] * Aun walks through the shield wall quickly, re-sheathing her sword
[20:30:23] * Aurora runs as far through the shield wall as she can and looks for a good firing position
[20:30:25] * Marianysa runs through as quickly as she can.
[20:30:47] <NovaSeaker> [One of the others nudges that one] "Relax, he said they're liscened zombies." [He mutters under his breath about "damn karrns".]
[20:31:12] * Phanos grins.
[20:32:28] * Aun sets her burden down and looks around the for officer
[20:32:42] <NovaSeaker> [On the other side of the shield wall, they spy a rather noble young woman dressed in the full-battle unform of the Sharn Watch. She steps forward.] "I'm 
  Captain ir'Talan, Black Arch Garrison."
[20:33:18] * Phanos bows, strapping his scythe back over his shoulder. Hiz zombies file in behidn him.
[20:33:19] <NovaSeaker> [Behind her, is another group of Watchmen standing guard over twenty or so ravers, who are all bound in heavy steel manacles and shackles.]
[20:33:25] * Aurora places the cleric down. "The church... nothing got inside, did it? Is the Priest still fine?"
[20:33:52] <Phanos> "We tooks out de masheen dat be makin de ravas."
[20:34:00] * Aun nods. "Aun, from the Sharn Inquisitive. What's been happening out here?"

[20:34:58] * Marianysa puts the body she was carrying down, sighing with (some) relief.

[20:35:24] * Captain_irTalan turns to Aurora. "Yes, we've been using the church as a refuge for any survivors."
[20:35:30] * Aurora nods.

[20:35:38] <Captain_irTalan> "You say you found the source of the ravers?"
[20:35:46] <Aurora> Yeah...
[20:35:49] <Aurora> "lucky", too. 
[20:36:04] <Aurora> They were all just leaving as we were forcing our way into their home. Ugh.
[20:36:17] <Marianysa> Well, maybe not THE source. A source, at least.
[20:36:35] * Sev nods.
[20:36:46] <Phanos> "I aint see no giant crystally masheens places side dat one."
[20:36:47] * Captain_irTalan turns to Aun. "Around noon today, the ravers actually struck out beyond Fallen for the first time. I've been trying for years to get the city to do 
  something about the problem... when they reached Foundation in Lower Tavick's, they couldn't deny my request to lend aid."
[20:37:03] * Aurora gestures towards a body, then kicks the cloak off. "This... was their leader. Or a leader. I don't know. Fiendish spawn."
[20:37:15] * Sev nods again.
[20:37:17] * Captain_irTalan frowns at the body.
[20:37:29] <Sev> Said something about searching for rage.
[20:37:37] <Sev> But.. I don't entirely remember the details.
[20:37:37] <Aurora> We smashed the thing's power source... I'm not sure how long ago. Not very long.
[20:37:41] * Sev rubs the back of his neck.
[20:37:45] <Aurora> We shattered it, then came here as soon as we could.
[20:37:48] * Marianysa looks down. "Too bad it had to come to this to get them to do something."
[20:37:51] <Captain_irTalan> "So you destroyed their leader and they went crazy. Or even crazier if that makes any sense..."
[20:38:07] <Aun> Yeah. As soon as he died, it seemed like they turned on themselves.
[20:38:21] <Captain_irTalan> "Actually instances of that were rare."
[20:38:41] <Aun> Oh? That's odd.
[20:38:45] <Captain_irTalan> "They only started turning on each other when there was nothing else to kill around them."
[20:38:47] <Aurora> It's horrible. It was just this chair, and it put things into peoples' heads, and made them crazy. 
[20:38:54] * Aurora nods...
[20:38:54] <Aun> Hm. Makes sense, then.
[20:39:28] <Marianysa> I guess that explains what we saw.
[20:39:35] * Captain_irTalan looks back to the pile of restrained ravers. "We've only managed to get a few."
[20:40:00] * Aun nods.
[20:40:17] <Aurora> ... one more thing.
[20:40:21] <Aun> Is there any chance we could talk about this in private? Not to disparage your men, but-
[20:40:24] <Aun> Aurora, shut up.
[20:40:30] * Aurora frowns.
[20:40:51] <Aun> -but there are things we can't talk about in public.
[20:41:19] <Captain_irTalan> "Anything you can say to me you can say to my men."
[20:41:21] <Aun> And if you weren't going to mention those, Aurora, go right ahead.
[20:42:46] <Aurora> Hmph.
[20:43:04] <Aurora> What I was going to ask, earlier, is if you saw anything other than Ravers running around.
[20:43:07] * Marianysa slaps her forehead.
[20:43:25] <Captain_irTalan> "Anything over than ravers? Like what?"
[20:43:44] * Captain_irTalan nudges the tiny cat man. "Nothing like that, certainly. You sure this thing was even involved?"
[20:43:47] <Aurora> Beings without faces.
[20:44:00] <Aurora> Beings on fire.
[20:44:06] <Captain_irTalan> "Uh. No."
[20:44:07] <Marianysa> Or...yeah, those too.
[20:44:14] <Aurora> And I'm pretty sure, considering he was stnading in front of the chair and talking at length about his grand plan.
[20:44:18] <Aun> It was definately involved. We saw him when we raided the arena down in goblin town.
[20:44:36] <Aun> And- Oh, traveller
[20:44:52] <Captain_irTalan> "Grand plan?"
[20:44:53] <Aun> I think the attacks began when we killed him. He couldn't reign them in anymore.
[20:45:17] <Aurora> They were already heading out of the tower when we were heading in.
[20:45:24] <Captain_irTalan> "Which tower?"
[20:46:27] <Aun> The fallen crystal tower.
[20:46:36] <Captain_irTalan> "...I'm sorry?"
[20:46:58] * Aurora digs out a few crystals to prove it. Though not the ones from the vault.
[20:46:59] * Marianysa blinks.
[20:47:00] <Aun> The tower that this district got its name from. We were going in there to investigate.
[20:47:30] <Captain_irTalan> "You mean the ravers came from the wreckage of the Crystal Fall?"
[20:47:30] <Aurora> We were looking for a raver weakness so we could gain some advantage over them. Or at least find out how they were being made.
[20:47:51] <Aurora> Yes. It's no big secret around here.
[20:48:06] <Captain_irTalan> "And which Adventurers Guild do you guys belong to? Or did Morgrave pay you to take something from the ruins?"
[20:48:24] * Aun shakes her head. "We're just trying to do good for the city."
[20:48:27] <Aurora> No guild.
[20:48:32] <Phanos> "We jus go der mon. We no like ravas eidah."
[20:48:33] <Aurora> I perform my duty for the Silver FLame.
[20:48:38] <Captain_irTalan> "...Well.. you just might've."
[20:49:43] * Captain_irTalan she nods back toward the ravers. "If I arrest enough of these things, Black Arch's garrison will be filled with them to the point of bursting. Then the 
  city council will have no choice but to build a proper asylum. Then maybe they can get some real help."
[20:49:58] * Aurora nods.
[20:50:57] <Aurora> Just be careful. I think we all know how dangerous they are.
[20:51:02] * Aun looks somewhat suprised, and quickly supresses it. "Well, that'd be wonderful."
[20:52:42] * Marianysa brightens.
[20:52:43] <Captain_irTalan> "I think you guys would know more than anyone how dangerous they are, heading straight into their nest and dispatching their leader. I'd like to 
  temporarily deputize all of you and place you around the district so you can lend your expertise to my men."
[20:52:56] <Sev> What..? MY expertise?
[20:53:00] * Sev grins awfully wide.
[20:53:01] * Aurora smiles. "Thanks."
[20:53:35] * Aun nods. "If it'll help, I'll do what I can."
[20:53:35] <Phanos> "Ya mon, me zombos no like dey zombos."
[20:53:40] * Captain_irTalan turns to one of the men standing watch. "Jenks" She gestures with her head to tell him to come over.
[20:53:44] * Marianysa grins.
[20:54:08] <Captain_irTalan> <Jenks> "Yes, ma'am?"
[20:54:29] <Aurora> Alright, so what are we doing? Just scouring this area and rounding up any Ravers we find?
[20:54:53] <Captain_irTalan> "I'm need to head back to the line. We haven't seen any ravers approach in half a bell, and we're going to expand. I want you to deputize these five and 
  give them dispatch orders."
[20:55:42] * Captain_irTalan turns and looks back at all of you. "Get Tellen over here too, they don't look so hot."
[20:57:48] <Captain_irTalan> [Over the next few minutes each of you are given detailed orders, along with maps showing regiments of watchmen and territories claimed of Fallen. After a 
  few minutes a Jorasco halfling approaches you and heals you all up to full, the large dragonmark on his chest glowing brightly with each application of healing magic.]

[20:58:44] * Marianysa stretches. "Much better, thanks."

[20:59:56] * Aun half-smiles. "I've been a loyal customer, this past week."
[21:00:49] <NovaSeaker> <He chuckles a bit> "That which does not kill you makes you stronger, and lines our pockets."
[21:01:05] * Marianysa giggles a little. "Yeah."
[21:02:35] <NovaSeaker> [After a short period where you're allowed to rest, you all set out with your seperate orders and forge ahead with the Sharn Watch to quell the Raver Outbreak 
  of 998.]
[21:06:18] <NovaSeaker> [Late he next morning, the party awakens in Blackstone, having been relieved of duty in the middle of the night. Sev was the last one in, and when he last 
  asked, they Watch had rounded up close to two hundred ravers.]
[21:08:07] <NovaSeaker> [Aurora is already awake, having prayed with Faela.]
[21:10:19] * Aurora is glad Faela is okay. :D
[21:11:40] * Marianysa yawns, stretching. "I've don't think I've ever slept so well. That was exhausting."
[21:11:58] <NovaSeaker> [Faela is relieved Aurora came back in one piece as well.]
[21:12:31] <Marianysa> I wonder if the fighting is still going on...
[21:12:35] * Aurora goes to check in on the group and waves at Marianysa
[21:12:54] * Phanos shows up, seeming calmer and a tad handsomer. His usual zombie cohort seems a bit different as well. In place of rotting flesh, one can make out what are apparently 
  growths of vines instead of raw musculature beneath their skin. The plants appear to be alive.
[21:13:19] * Marianysa blinks at Phanos. "What happened?"
[21:13:39] <Phanos> Two of them are also now wearing studded leather armor.
[21:13:50] * Aun is writing in her journal again, on the ground. She looks up at Phanos before going back into the book.
[21:13:55] <Aurora> ... wow. weird.
[21:13:57] <Phanos> "I plantify dem. Viney tangle spell work now when wif rocks."
[21:13:59] <Aurora> What'd you do?
[21:14:12] <Phanos> "Put de seed, watah de seed, casty spells."
[21:14:19] * Phanos nods.
[21:15:00] <NovaSeaker> (nix the armor)
[21:15:38] <Aurora> Huh...
[21:15:45] <Aurora> What does it do?
[21:16:13] <Phanos> "Sez what it do already mon. I casty de spell dat make de tangly vines, de tangly vines come outta de zombo."
[21:16:37] <Phanos> "Gonna put on em some ahmah too, gives em de weapons. Makes me tribe strong."
[21:17:24] <NovaSeaker> [Faela gets a sour face and leaves the room.]
[21:17:35] <Aurora> I guess...
[21:18:33] * Aun nods. "They certainly look impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing how they work out next time we fight."
[21:18:37] <Phanos> "Grumpa lady."
[21:18:50] <Phanos> "Oh, you see me. Vulchah, e talk to me las night."
[21:19:00] <Phanos> "Giva me mo' spells ya."
[21:19:31] <Phanos> "I maka you not see. Boss dem zombos dat not mine round, summon beez."
[21:19:33] * Marianysa looks down. "What about...uh...the one that you...lost?"
[21:19:40] * Aun nods. "I've been working out some new Soverign Words myself. It's been a good day for learning."
[21:19:54] * Phanos knocks on a newly cleaned skull on his shoulder.
[21:20:02] <Phanos> "Dat him."
[21:20:06] <Phanos> "He still heah."
[21:20:39] * Marianysa looks at the skull. "But..."
[21:20:55] <Phanos> "But nuttin. Bones just as good as protekkin me."
[21:21:12] <Phanos> "I not had time to take is whole skelly."
[21:21:25] <Phanos> "Now if a bird poopoo, I block it!"
[21:21:29] <Aurora> Uh... huh.
[21:21:30] <Phanos> "Hee hee hee!"
[21:23:11] <Aurora> Right. Glad you're happy.
[21:23:21] <Marianysa> I...guess...
[21:23:46] <Phanos> "I go in if I get time, takes all de bones, make bettah ahmah."
[21:24:43] <Aurora> Well... we'll see if we get another chance to go to the tower. Maybe even take the densewood.

[21:48:48] * Aurora drags the corpses over to a Church of the Silver Flame to have them Gently Reposed. And hopefully the slain Rakshasa will impress someone enough to make her look 
  important.
[21:49:44] * Aurora does this over the week of downtime
[21:50:36] * Sev , over the week of downtime, gets his armor made magic, buys a magic cloak, picks up some more food, does a helluva lot of working out, and spends some time with Lei.
[21:50:50] * Phanos equips his zombies.
[21:50:59] * Phanos also studies a bit.
[21:51:28] * Aurora actually gentle reposes them herself. Whoops!
[21:53:08] * Aurora instead just shows up with Rakshasa corpse and Raver stories and hopes it's good enough to get them to agree to do Speak With Dead when the group's all here. ALso, 
  to impress them and make her look important.
[21:53:25] * Aun spends her downtime fencing the goods from the docks, writing, moving to an apartment in Northedge, and spending time with Miashta, as well as doing some shopping for 
  Adventure Goods.
[21:54:14] * Marianysa identifies magic items, crafts some shit, shops, and is otherwise lazy.
