  before it shoots right out of Sharn's manifest zone, hundreds of feet above the Hilt river.]

[19:38:43] <NovaSeaker> [Phanos continues to breath unsteadily, unconcious on the chain-strewn floor of the skycoach.]
[19:38:46] <NovaSeaker> [Aun's Turn]
[19:44:15] <Aun> It's a chain devil, from Savarath! Aurora, make your weapon holy!
[19:44:22] * Aun drops into her chant
[19:46:32] <NovaSeaker> [Aurora's Turn]
[19:49:10] <Aurora> A devil?!
[19:49:34] * Aurora points at it with one hand and grabs her Silver Flame pendant with the other. "Who do you think we are?"
[19:50:09] * Aurora shouts something in Celestial. Her bow glows, and the arrowheads take on the shape of a spiralling holy 
  flame.
[19:55:29] <Aurora> This plane doesn't belong to you! 
[19:56:01] * Aurora closes her fist, which glows with a power.
[19:57:09] <NovaSeaker> [The light from Aurora's fist expands and shoots out in a wave before her. The chain-devils face 
  stops shifting an instant before it hits him, turning into an inhuman visage of hatred and suprise.] "WHA-" [He 
  disappears as the light washes over him before he can finish his setence.]
[19:57:16] * Aurora throws her hands apart. One glows silver, one glows gold. The energy spreads out into the wave.
[19:57:54] <Aurora> I BELIEVE IN THE FLAME, WHICH BELIEVES IN ME!
[19:58:18] <NovaSeaker> [Aurora is shouting at nothing.]
[19:58:50] <Sev> "You think your CHAINS and DWARF-FACE is gonna scare me?! I like getting tied up with chains and BEATING 
  THE SHIT OUT OF.... Oh, he's gone."
[19:58:50] <Sev> /me frowns.
[19:58:53] * Sev frowns, rather.
[19:58:54] * Aurora seems to return to normal for the time being.
[19:59:07] <NovaSeaker> [Sev is also shouting at nothing.]
[19:59:28] <Aurora> Alright, who knows how to fly this thing? 
[19:59:29] <NovaSeaker> [The skycoach is still hurtling toward the edge of the manifest zone, however.]
[19:59:35] * Marianysa 's shoulders slump as she lowers her swords. "Bastard..."
[19:59:41] * Sev looks over the edge, grunting.
[19:59:49] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis.> "Perhaps someone should get Phanos off the floor..."
[20:00:06] * Sev grabs Phanos' arm, hefting him onto his shoulder.
[20:00:27] <Sev> Hugh. Alright, anyone? At all?
[20:00:27] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis blinks.> "I meant heal him, but that works too."
[20:02:14] <NovaSeaker> [Up ahead, the last tower, the city limits, rapidly approaches.]
[20:02:42] * Marianysa looks up. "Oh, hell."
[20:02:54] <Sev> Keep it in the city, dammit!
[20:03:03] <Sev> If they see it flyin' around crazy-like they'll send someone over!
[20:03:17] <Aurora> Aun, you have any ideas?
[20:03:30] <NovaSeaker> "I can save... four of us."

[20:04:03] <NovaSeaker> "I can cast Feather Fall on four of us when we're about two hundred feat above the river..."
[20:04:11] <NovaSeaker> "Phanos probably wont like loosing his zombies..."

[20:04:21] <NovaSeaker> "And.... one of us gets left behind."

[20:04:53] * Aurora looks at the driver bits to see if she can make any sense of it
[20:05:02] <Sev> Looks like one of you is gonna have to trust my strongarm. Hey magic-man, if I'm slow-fallin' will the 
  other end of this hold up?!

[20:06:06] * Aurora grasps her symbol again and starts casting...
[20:06:10] <NovaSeaker> "Maybe... can you carry one of us easily?"
[20:06:49] <Sev> "Hell, man, this zombie-elf ain't no sweat. I've got him."

[20:07:38] <NovaSeaker> [Initiative Order - 2 rounds till limit of manifest zone breached.]
[20:19:00] <NovaSeaker> [Aurora finishes her casting and before her on the deck appears a golden-furred monkey.]
[20:19:02] * Aurora finishes summoning. The holiest monkey you've ever seen fades into this plane.
[20:19:37] <Aurora> Get to the rudder, and fast! Make this thing turn around, or if it does, KEEP it turned around!
[20:21:27] <Marianysa> Aur! I can give us another feather fall!
[20:22:23] <NovaSeaker> "I'll wait until we're close enough that it works all the way to the Hilt!"
[20:22:37] <NovaSeaker> [The moneky climbs over and around the ship, getting there at the end of the round.]
[20:26:30] <NovaSeaker> [Mari furiously works on a strip of cloth he has, trying to infuse it with magic, and it literally 
  blows up in her face.]

[20:30:21] <NovaSeaker> "And at least Phanos isn't awake to realize we're leaving his zombies behind."
[20:30:33] <Aun> For the Traveller's sake, just ditch the zombies! Mari and I are light enough to jump with Sev!
[20:32:11] <NovaSeaker> "Quick! Everyone grab the same chain! Make sure we're not flung more than 30 feet apart!"
[20:32:41] * Aun holds onto the chain that the others are!
[20:32:47] * Marianysa mutters "Sorry, Phanos." while grabbing the chain.
[20:33:27] <NovaSeaker> "Someone grab Phanos!"
[20:37:05] * Aurora grabs Phanos. And the chain.
[20:37:26] <NovaSeaker> [The skycoach zips past the last tower and everyone's ears' painfully pop as the airpressure a 
  thousand feet above sealevel hits them all at once. The wind suddenly whips around them more furiously and they have a 
  sudden feeling of weightlessness as the skycoach falls beneath them]
[20:37:42] * Aurora grabs a chain. Not Phanos. Sev has Phanos
[20:38:59] <Aun> AUGH! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT
[20:39:20] <NovaSeaker> [Suddenly everyone's insides lurch as they begin to fall, picking up speed until its all most too 
  much to keep their eyes open. The towers zip past them, then the cliffside during the last hundreds of feet of their 
  fall.]
[20:39:37] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis> "EVERYONE! LET GO!"
[20:39:47] * Aurora GOES.
[20:39:57] * Sev lets go apparently.
[20:40:01] * Marianysa releases the chain, cringing.
[20:40:31] * Aun lets go reflexively, then begins grabbing at air
[20:40:50] <NovaSeaker> [Everyone's momentum slows until they begin to descend, almost as if on one of the city's lifts.]
[20:41:07] <Aun> Ffffuck. That was terrible.
[20:41:19] <Aurora> Yeah, but we'll all be alright, right?
[20:41:19] * Sev holds his stomach.
[20:41:34] <Aurora> And did you see what I did to that hellsspawn?
[20:41:38] <Marianysa> I...think I'm gonna puke.
[20:41:51] <NovaSeaker> [They look out toward the south as the skycoach continues on for about a hundred feet before them, 
  carried by it's momentum. Phanos's three zombies trail behind it, limply falling like ragdolls.]
[20:41:55] <Aun> Yeah, I'm right with you, Mari. As soon as we touch ground, you and I are going to puke together
[20:42:04] <NovaSeaker> (Sev is still holding onto people)
[20:42:22] * Sev is still holding onto people apparently.
[20:42:29] * Sev looks like he's trying not to throw up.
[20:42:35] <Aun> Does anybody have any idea why, aside from business as usual, a chain devil just tried to kill us in a 
  ridiculous way, instead of just normal-murdering us?
[20:42:58] <Aurora> Maybe to make a big example.
[20:42:59] <Sev> It'd look like an accident, maybe?
[20:43:28] <Aun> It'd look like an accident, I guess, but none of the other assassins tried to do that.
[20:43:39] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis> "Doesn't look like the normal way worked. Maybe it was just a backup plan."
[20:43:52] <Aun> Maybe we're big enough hats now that they can't just kill us and dump us in the undercity.
[20:43:53] <Aurora> Well, it DID actually fight us.
[20:44:09] <Aurora> Too bad we couldn't take that Skycab for our own.
[20:44:10] <NovaSeaker> [After a while of floating down, everyone touches down into the river.]
[20:44:13] <Aurora> That would have been a grand treasure.
[20:44:23] <Aun> Yeah. Excuse me.
[20:44:27] <Sev> Hah, yeah right.
[20:44:28] * Marianysa vomits noisily.
[20:44:29] * Aurora touches down in the river. Her robes are white.
[20:44:32] <Sev> The guard would be all over our asses.
[20:44:34] * Aun lurches off a few feet away and vomits as well.
[20:44:47] * Sev gets everyone out of his arms and starts puking.
[20:45:00] * Aurora gets out of the river. "This is going to be a pain to clean up."
[20:45:11] <NovaSeaker> [The shore is a close enough swim that everyone gets there fine.]
[20:46:38] * Aun swims her way to the shore and pulls herself up.
[20:47:21] <Aun> Wwwwwelp. I'm sure everyone can't wait to investigate what extraplanar fucks are trying to murder us this 
  time, but I kind of want to go spend some quality glad-I'm-still-alive time with Miashta.
[20:47:33] * Marianysa clambers onto dry ground, gasping.
[20:47:47] <Aurora> Yeah, relaxing sounds good... why Miashta, thougH/
[20:49:17] <Aun> I'll tell you when you're older.
[20:49:42] * Aurora blinks. "Uh... huh."

[20:52:29] * Aurora shivers a bit in her soaked white robe. "I need to warm up somewhere."

[20:53:37] <Aun> Well, let's get moving. There's questions to be asked that I don't want to answer if we stick around.
[20:54:09] <NovaSeaker> [Aurelis nods and begins walking, grabbing his clothes and wringing them of excess water.]
[20:54:14] * Marianysa nods. She looks over in the direction of the zombies unfortunate landing before going back to 
  studying the ground.
[20:56:01] <Marianysa> Phanos is gonna be so mad when he wakes up.
[20:56:27] <Aurora> Yeah...
[20:56:39] <Aurora> Think he'll hold it against us?
[20:57:09] <NovaSeaker> [There doesn't look to be any sign of the zombies where Mari looks.]
[20:57:21] <Aun> Could be. It wouldn't suprise me.
[20:57:30] <Aurora> Yeah...
[20:59:10] * Sev follows after them, wrenching his shirt of water.
[20:59:19] <NovaSeaker> [There's still a bit of a walk before everyone reaches the docks of Cliffside.]
[20:59:30] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis> "So... we really are in for it this time."
[20:59:42] <NovaSeaker> "The Rakshasa isn't playing around anymore."
[20:59:46] <Aun> Hey, want to come with me, Aurora? It'll give you someplace that's not Fallen to dry out.

[20:59:58] <NovaSeaker> "The first one used human assassins. Now they're pulling in favors from the planes."

[21:00:24] <Aun> Yeah. It's sort of comforting to know we're doing enough that it wants us dead that bad. Except for the 
  whole 'it killing us' part.
[21:00:31] <Aurora> This sounds like it goes far more than a revenge thing.
[21:00:42] <Aurora> Maybe we're currently in the process of foiling some plan of theirs?
[21:00:55] <Sev> Psh. Every time we don't die, we foil their planes.

[21:05:06] <Aun> There's some old myths about dragons and fiends being at war since forever ago.
[21:05:18] <Aun> Maybe fighting the rakshasa got their attention.
[21:05:33] <Aurora> The one we took out was kinda low on their scale, though...
[21:06:29] <Aurora> ... hm.
[21:07:04] <Aurora> Well, the couatyls that sealed away the Rakshasa Masters were also allied with Dragons.
[21:07:15] <Aurora> During the First Age, anyway.
[21:07:15] <Aun> Well, we got a really runty dragon helping us.
[21:07:56] <Sev> How do we know it was helping us?
[21:08:18] <NovaSeaker> <AUrelis> "Cause it helped us kill the rakshasa before it finished Mari off."
[21:08:31] <Aurora> Yep.
[21:08:35] <Sev> Hmfh.
[21:08:39] <Aurora> We've got a responsibility to avenge that dragon.
[21:08:52] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis> "How do you figure?"
[21:08:54] <Sev> You guys might.
[21:09:13] <NovaSeaker> "It used us too. It let us do the fighting until it looked like we might fail."
[21:09:29] <Aurora> Because if Mari died then, who would have cast Feather Fall just now?
[21:09:34] <Aun> I think that, independant of responsibility, we're going to avenge that dragon one way or another.
[21:09:36] * Aurora folds her arms.
[21:09:40] <NovaSeaker> "Whatever else, dragons aren't humans, or elves, or whatnot."
[21:09:45] <NovaSeaker> "I cast it."
[21:09:50] <Aun> It looks like we're stuck into killing this rakshasa before it kills us.
[21:09:51] * Marianysa glares at Aurora. "Thanks SO much."
[21:09:54] <Aurora> Okay, who ELSE cast it?
[21:10:01] <NovaSeaker> "I did."
[21:10:12] <NovaSeaker> "Mari's efforts were a failure."
[21:10:21] <NovaSeaker> [He turns to Mari] "No offense."
[21:10:34] <Aun> And then killing another after it starts trying to kill us. And so on and so forth until we either die of 
  Rakshasa or old age.
[21:10:42] <Aun> Shit. I need to get to Miashta's.
[21:10:47] * Aun starts walking faster.
[21:10:51] <Aurora> Ah... whoops. Sorry about that.
[21:10:54] * Aurora follows Aun.
[21:11:03] <Aurora> Either way, it's good to have everyone around and alive.
[21:11:08] <Aurora> And we owe it to that dragon.

[21:11:15] <NovaSeaker> [The group reaches the docks soon enough and splits, finding their own ways to their specific 
  destinations.]

[21:18:46] * Phanos jolts awake. His eyes are glowing, quite literally, he's so angry.

[21:19:23] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis> "It's okay, Phanos. We... ah... most of us got away..."
[21:19:40] <Phanos> "You take me an tell me I not have zombos, I make de zombos so dey no want eat you, make em planty, an 
  DEYS DED."
[21:19:57] <NovaSeaker> "I appologize. I was not strong enough to protect your kinsmen with my spell."
[21:20:10] * Marianysa cringes. "I...I'm sorry, Phanos. I tried to save them."
[21:20:13] <NovaSeaker> "I prioritized those of us that still live and breathe."
[21:20:59] <Sev> "Look at it this way man, they died in combat again. Ain't that what you wanted?"
[21:21:28] * Phanos breaks into Elvish. "I quite verily wish the lot of you would shut up. I put a lot of work into them, 
  and now I have absolutely NO protection. Do you see me wearing armor? No. That's because I HAD a cadre of followers SWORN 
  TO ME to stand in front of any arrows or swords that got flung my way."
[21:22:15] <Phanos> <E> "Honestly, I can bring back any corpse to stand in front of me, but I grew up with those fellows."
[21:22:37] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis switches to elvish as well.> "I understand your fustration, but our little band has done 
  good so far. Sev is mighty fine and drawing attention to himself, and Aun and Mari are no slouches with swordplay either."
[21:22:37] * Marianysa looks confused.
[21:23:00] <NovaSeaker> "I am sorry that I chose to let your kinsmen die a second death..."
[21:23:23] <Phanos> "Me wish you no came do dat choice, ya? My business gon' suffah."
[21:23:30] <Phanos> "Whose gon' delivah de flowas?"
[21:23:36] * Aun goes into elvish. "Well, I'm hardly knowledgeable about necromancy, but if we get them out of the river, 
  can't you animate them again? It won't be easy, but it's better than nothing."

[21:23:51] <Phanos> "Dat dirty watah kill de plants."
[21:24:02] <Phanos> "Spoil de whole crop o dem."
[21:24:06] * Phanos spits.
[21:24:17] <Phanos> "Tanks fo gittin' me out tho."
[21:24:21] <Aun> I can talk to some people, get you temp workers. It won't be the same, but at least you won't be bankrupt.
[21:24:33] <Phanos> "I'z tink I'z gon' go ave me some drinks, mon."
[21:24:34] <Aun> It's not much, but I'm not sure I can do anything else.
[21:24:50] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis> "I believe what he means is, that once a walking corpse has been battered so thoroughly 
  that its animating force cannot sustain it anymore, a new animating force can do nothing more."

[21:27:44] <Aun> I think I'll leave you with them, if you don't mind. I think I need to talk with Miashta about all this, 
  and figure out what's going to happen.

[21:28:35] * Phanos sighs.
[21:28:46] <Aurora> Phanos... will you be alright?
[21:28:47] * Phanos knocks on the skull on his shoulder.
[21:29:03] <Phanos> "Gots to go git me somes ahmah."
[21:29:16] <Phanos> "Dis ain't no konvenience."
[21:29:36] <Phanos> "Stupid boaty chain-mon fault, not yuz."
[21:32:43] <NovaSeaker> <Aurelis nods.> "We should meet up tonight..."
[21:32:48] <Sev> I'll think about it.
[21:33:13] <Sev> Considering the fact that every time I show up with you guys, we get lost underneath Sharn or suprised by 
  a dragon or thrown outside the manifest..

[21:33:39] <Marianysa> If there's anything I can do to help out with the armor, Phanos, just say the word.
[21:33:56] * Aun nods. "If I'm not there, I'll have Aurora tell you all why."

[21:37:58] <NovaSeaker> "Alright. Everone come to Mari's shop when you're finished. Then we'll go to get this cloth and 
  blood scryed."
