[18:52:57] * One of the kobolds loads up a jar of green goop and hurls it at Dresdin, but the jar goes wide and smashes on the floor. Up-close, it doesn't look so delicious after all. [19:05:11] * The kobold in the goop tries to break free of it, but can't muster the strength. Two of the kobolds with slings load the bullets and hurl them at Dresdin, smacking him sharply. [19:16:17] * Amroth fires off a ray of light at a kobold. It walks into the light and dies. Horribly. [19:16:49] * Fillis moves up to get a better look of his enemies, and fires a bolt of eldrich energy at a far-off kobold. [19:17:05] * The bolt hits, alongside Amroth's ray of light. [19:17:47] * A kobold tries to hurl a sling stone at Steddha, but it bounces off her armor with a *tink* [19:17:50] [Steddha's turn] [19:20:57] * Steddha snorts, and builds up a headful of steam before she roars ahead, lauching her stocky body over (hopefully!) the pit of goop to land on the other side... [19:22:29] * ... and once she lands, she immediately swings her hammer with force, aiming to keep her opponents in sight at the same time. [19:27:26] * With another angry snort, Ahzgrit stays on his target and takes better aim before letting loose another arrow. [19:28:38] * The kobold in the pit struggles to break free, trying to escape the angry dwarf's arrows, but fails. The other kobold near Steddha backs up and hurls a bullet at her, but the shot goes wide [19:28:42] [Dresdin] [19:31:37] * Dresdin channels some inner energy healing a portion of his life, he's still battered but not as badly. He sneaks back forward and ends his turn in stealth. [19:32:21] [FIllis' turn] [19:33:30] * Fillis sees the kobold backing up and decides to ignore the one closer to him first, flinging a blast of energy at the shooter and it slamming into it. [19:34:18] [Danith's turn] [19:34:22] * Danith aims a ray of cold ice at the kobold in the green muck, but hit bounces harmlessly off its armor. "Damn it." he swears under his breath. [19:36:42] * Amroth runs forward while chanting a healing prayer for Dresdin, then fires another ray of light and draws more blood. [19:37:15] * The kobold further up the hall hurls a sling stone at Danitharas, but it bounces harmlessly off the hall corner as he can't get a clear view. [19:37:17] [Steddha's turn] [19:38:51] * Steddha rambles off after the fleeing kobold, gritting her teeth. Once close enough, she swings her hammer outward, going for a more accurate strike over a powerful one. [19:40:25] * ... and her accuracy is rewarded with a chest-caving crunch and a gush of kobold blood onto her boots. Grinning merrily, she turns back to the others. "Got it." [19:49:51] [Danith's turn] [19:50:59] * Danith fires off two shots of ice at the kobold hiding in the corner. The first one hits, while the second swerves wildly off course. [19:51:12] [Amroth's turn] [19:56:22] * Amroth steps up and fires off a final ray of light that extinguishes the kobold. [19:56:49] We done? [19:57:11] That would appear to be the last of them. [19:57:11] I don't think we've seen the leader yet. [19:57:49] None of those kobolds really... stood out. [19:59:49] * Danith says nothing and mutters angrily to himself. [20:00:08] * Amroth looks around. [20:00:58] * The room is still. The portcullis leading deeper into the lair still stands, though. [20:02:10] Keep going. Finish the job. [20:02:24] * Danith raises his hands and fires a seemingly endless salvo of magic missiles at the portcullis. [20:02:56] * Amroth takes a deep sigh. This will take a while. [20:03:35] * The portcullis soon breaks under the pressure, and chunks of bars fly into the hall un a hail of silver fury. [20:03:53] * The way now lies clear. [20:04:12] You know, that might be a good way to get rid of fustrations in the future. [20:04:13] * Danith snorts, apparently pleased. "Had to be good for something." he mutters under his breath. [20:04:23] * In the center of the hall ahead, a lever can be seen in the wall. [20:05:00] Must be the lever to open the portcullis you just destroyed... [20:05:02] * Steddha moves to rejoin the others, grunting. Her fellow dwarf is close behind her, grinning one last time at his handiwork. [20:06:24] * Fillis follows behind, deciding to see if any of those kobold corpses still have any of those gars. [20:06:30] *jars [20:07:46] * Fillis finds 5 of those jars left, along with three bags containing 53 sling bullets total. [20:09:14] * Fillis takes them all, figuring that he could probably find some use for them later. [20:10:34] * Danith takes out a dagger and cuts off each kobold's left ear for proof that they were vanquished. [20:10:55] * Amroth starts walking down the hall. [20:12:08] * As Amroth reaches the end, it makes a turn to the right, where he sees a set of stairs leading down [20:12:31] * Danith follows up behind Amroth. He flicks the blood off his dagger and slides it back into its sheath under his belt. [20:12:47] * Fillis follows behind once he finishes packing up the stuff. [20:12:59] Well...looks like we are going down. [20:13:46] Eh. [20:13:56] * Danith grunts an affirmative. He is still not happy and isn't exactly in the mood to communicate. [20:14:50] * Steddha tags along, rubbing her nose momentarilly. Ahz isn't far behind, readying a fresh arrow. [20:16:39] * As you step into the room, you see four stone coffins, all vandalized and abused. On either side of the room, you see a series of alcoves, and on each side, there is a suit of armor in the closest alcove. On the other side, there is a raised section of floor with an altar set up on it. You see more kobolds. They point their spears at you and shout out a war cry. His eyes are burning with rage as he casts a powerful ball of flaming spite at his enemies. One of the kobolds howls in pain as the fire licks its flesh. To his surprise, the kobold kneels over and perishes. [20:31:29] * As Amroth steps on one of the tiles, there's a *click*. A dart flies out from the suit of armor to his left and hits him. He feels his legs going numb. [20:32:40] Oh darn. [20:32:55] * One of the kobolds rushes up to Danith with his spear and thrusts it at him, lightly scratching him. [20:33:05] [Fillis' turn] [20:35:56] * Fillis moves up under the shadow and quickly takes stock of the situation. He decides that it would be best to weaken the enemies that are farther, and leave those who are closer to others. [20:36:35] * Fillis fires an eldrich blast at the farthest enemy he can aim and curses the minion while he's at it. [20:37:26] * A spear-weilding kobold plowers it at FIllis and rushes at her. He stops for a moment in front of Amroth, then sneakily darts past his reach and gets up to Fillis' face. He hisses, then speaks in heavily accented Common. "You will pay for that!" He jabs FIllis with his spear, scoring a painful wound. [20:37:29] [Dresdin's turn] [20:41:32] * Dresdin darts out of the tunnel and throws a well aimed shruiken between the kobold eyes. They kobold dies before he knows what even hit him. [20:42:35] * One of the kobolds charges Danitharas with his spear. He jabs and lands a moderate wound on him [20:44:49] * Another kobold is seared by the flaming sphere. He moves away and charges striaght at Amroth, sinking the tip of his spearpoint into him. [20:47:27] * Steddha charges ahead, moving into proper position to smash the skirmisher with her hammer -- hoping to also allow Amroth to move. [20:48:19] * A dart flies out of somewhere and bounces off of Steddha's shield. [20:49:02] * Steddha doesn't mind the dart, but minds that she missed... and growls, marshalling her fury to strike again. [20:49:30] * ... and misses anyway. "Bloody hell!" [20:50:40] * Ahzgrit smirks, and quietly slips back into proper shooting position before laying into the skirmisher Steddha missed with a well-placed arrow. [21:16:18] * Steddha makes a face, and quickly purses the retreating kobolds. Once she's dead in the face of the one she missed, she takes an aimed swing -- only catching air.
